We know how hard it is for all you lefties out there to find a decent mouse so I thought I would share this review of the Razer DeathAdder Left-Hand Edition with you guys.

It’s a fact that we lefties are forced to dismiss many top end mice from our short-lists. Most Logitech’s are out, many of Razer’s new mice are out, and as for the Mad Catz (R.A.T 9, etc), you’d have to be positively off your rockers as a leftie to go for one unless you wish to risk the loss of digits.

I'm left handed and I have always used a regular right handed mouse. When I was in elementary school it felt weird but I forced myself to use a "normal" mouse because that is what I would come across 99% of the time.

Now as a 28 year old I would find using a left handed mouse just as awkward as a right handed person would. It probably helped me be more functional/skilled with my right hand as well.
 
I'm left-handed but I've always used the mouse in my right hand. I don't personally know of any lefties who actually use a mouse in their left hand. I bat left-handed but golf right-handed. Come to think of it maybe I'm just ambidextrous, I drink with both hands quite effectively, after all. ;)
 
Well I guess I am the ONLY actually left hand mouser. :p

I'd be interested in feeling this one, I've not been thrilled with the sharp angles on the sides where buttons 4,5,etc have been in the past razor products It's been increasingly hard to find a good ambidextrous mouse WITH multiple buttons. Been using an logitech LX8 type for a long time and they seem to have discontinued it.

Being left handed means you need more desktop too. Keyboard stick out waaaaay to the right.
 
i love razer for making this product... I bought one..

and then realized i have either been too long mousing right handed... or something..

anyways ... the adjustment wasn't working for me... i ended up going back to my g500 and mousing right handed... some extent i thing mousing right handed works to my advantage as my left hand is then working the keyboard and it is probably more better at hitting the right keys at the right times..???


i like the DA LH mouse it was comfortable and seems built pretty well .... i just couldn't get use to it after all these years of using a right handed mouse (despite being a lefty).

i kept the DA I may try it again soon..especially now seeing this thread here.


alright stay strong my Left Handed Brothers (and Sisters) ....some day righty is going to pay :D
 
Although I'm not in the market for a mouse right now, I will pick up one of these just to throw them my business and to tell them that there is indeed a market for left-handed mice.

I have my mouse set up as left-handed (and left-handed mouse gestures in Opera). I don't know that I'd be willing to pay $45-$60 for a mouse, though. My trusty LX3 is just fine.
 
I've had one for a long time now. I admit I'm not a big mouse user. I'm a trackball fan, but I honestly TRIED several times to make the switch with the left handed DeathAdder.

The mouse's technology is top notch as is the software the runs it. Really really good.

But the sides of the mouse are slippery plastic and the shape of the mouse tapers the wrong way making your fingers try to slide off the top of the mouse when you lift it.

Friends keep telling me you NEVER lift a mouse... well, even gripping aggressively makes my fingers slide off the top. I think I'd love it if the shape itself was different.
 
I am right handed but mouse with my left especially in FPS games.
Time for a change from my MX518 anyways.

I'm a long-suffering lefty mouser. I got rid of my lefty Deathadder (mainly because of the f***ing BUGGY Razer drivers; they have sucked for years now). I have a Steelseries Kana now and I love the thing. Basic ambidextrous mouse with 5 buttons and adjustable sensitivity.

I was going to make this point, I just don't see what is wrong with an ambidextrous mouse. I'm using a Sensei Raw (and am a righty) and have always used ambidextrous mice, don't see what is so bad about them.

ambi mice are fine... the problem is some of companies (/cough logitech ../cough) apparently forgot not everyone is right handed and don't really make much by the way of ambi mice instead focusing on very right hand specific designs.
 
I've had to RMA my deathadder twice already for the same scroll issue. The scroll spazzes out when I use it so it's not functional. Tried contacting them again for RMA but its been 3 weeks and I still haven't received a reply
 
I've used a steel series warcraft mouse for 4 years. Rma'd 1, it was great service, and it really fits a larger hand.
 
Logitech going to predominately right-handed designs quite some time ago is what lost me as a mouse customer from them. As far as the deathadder goes, I won't be purchasing it regardless of which hand it is intended for. Never did like that one myself for some reason. So far I prefer the Orochi & Mamba more than their other offerings in regards to mice.
 
I have 2 of the LH Deathadder and they have always be outstanding. I cannot wait for the LH Naga to come out!!
