Scientists Build Lasers Out of Sound, Call Them Phasers

phasers are used in music production, they are kind like flangers... now when a producer asks for more phasers the engineer will have to ask "the sound effect or the laser?"

Kirk was a master tactician that wasn't afraid to show his balls at a moments notice.

Picard's calm demeanor, intellect and command presence was perfect for the TNG series as it was about exploration and discovery. Kirk would be bored to tears in the TNG timeline. They had their places in Star Trek history. Love them both.

Funny, considering a lot of the stories from the first 2 seasons of Next Gen were just recycled TOS season 3 episodes with some even referencing the TOS episode at one point (the intoxication one for example).

Phase discrimination amplitude modulation, about time someone figured that out, I shall call it Phaser :D
