have you tried this ? does it really work?

it said 18 drivers were out of date, im scared to use it in case it messes up my pc and i dont wanna spend days reloading and updating stuff again.

The only driver that you probably should update regularly is the GPU driver. Most other driver updates are for increased compatibility or bug fixes. If you are not experiencing issues, then you are likely not affected by the bugs as they are often related to specific hardware you may or may not have. Many of the products that show you driver updates are updated drivers, but because companies now mostly ship unified driver platforms, the "new version" may not provide any improvements at all to your devices and are just for newer devices.

Also, if you have an Intel platform you can visit the official Intel site to scan and update drivers, which is what I recommend. http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/
