Microcenter: Asus Maximus V Gene Z77 $105

Ordered one for $120 shipped (had to pay sales tax)

I was going to order a $60 board for my son, but it was an H61 board and he has a 2500k so this is perfect.

I've had this board since may 2011 and it's one of the best boards I have ever owned hands down.
 
Bought it. I got a special build in mind for this board.
Had one before and loved it. Not going to upgrade until Haswell-E so this works out perfectly.

I ordered one for shipping about 2 hours ago and got a cancellation email 30 minutes after due to lack of availability

Yeah, they're not going to carry it anymore apparently. I bought one several weeks back with a bundle deal and it was faulty. Sadly they didn't have another available when I returned it.
 
Nice board. I have the IV and it's awesome. That this is $105 annoys me as I just spent that much on an MSI budget board.
 
It is another great deal from MC. I asked my wife to to see if there are any available. Sweet deal if you decided to get a combo.

The local MC is 5 minutes down the street for me. Two left in stock in Denver. I keep telling myself to hold out for Haswell, but this is way too tempting.
 
Yup, deal appears to not only be dead, but never actually existed in the first place.

There was one in stock at the microcenter in Paterson, NJ but I decided not to buy it. I just built a rig with a ASRock extreme4 and didn't want to return/exchange/rebuild. I would've done it if it was that ATX version.

Yea, it took my a while to figure that those people are worse than vultures. I doubt they even understand their choice on a very rudimentary level.

You can still buy Asus P8Z77-V PRO Z77 for $104. My local MC has 5 boards in stock.
