Saints Row IV Reveal Trailer

So I tweeted to their official Twitter that "My PC is ready", got a reply back from them that said "Glory to the master race."
 
Awesome.. I fortunately got SR3 during THQ's bankruptcy sales, and had a lot of fun with the game. I didn't think I would like it as much as I did since I never really got into the GTA games, but I found it much more entertaining. I'm glad they are making a part 4... definitely going to give that one a look.. maybe not on release, but after their first sale :p
 
I can't wait. I am still playing the Third but hopefully by then I will be done and ready.
 
Im.... not sure what i just watched. I bought 3rd complete pack a while back for cheap but its in my backlog.

Jumping through a car's windshield and ejecting the driver out the door in one move goes a long way into making the game really fun.
 
After playing SR: TT...I'm a fan. I need to go back and play the other 2 but I can't wait for this! Looks good too!

Nope. Having played all three, SR:TT is like diarreah in a punchbowl. It's beyond a watered down SR2. I didn't enjoy the main game or the 3 DLC for it. Volition tried for batshit insane funny, and didn't even get close to Gary Busey insane (or "funny")...

Video games in the US are usually released on Tuesdays (in this case, 8/20 would be right), and in at least parts of EU on Fridays (8/23 would be right in that case). The video shows the ESRB rating schpeal, so did Volition marketing mess that up or what?

I'm excited. I enjoyed saints row 3. The fact it was so pro PC (even a gold rating for eyefinity) made it nice. The story was a bit lame at times but overall very worth it.
 
It looks like they're recycling a lot of assets from SRTT, hopefully it's not just a rehash of the last game with a few tweaks. I'm guessing that this is the same game THQ announced as an expansion and then as a full game so hopefully the game doesn't suffer from too many changes in direction. I also hope that Deep Silver doesn't tone down the wackiness too much, it sounds like they already cut the dildo bats.

I enjoyed the last two SR games so I'll keep an eye on this but I have a sneaking suspicion that this game might be a mess.
 
It looks awesome already... but august seems kind of close to the sell of IP to release a real game, no?
 
Can't wait, loved the third one and this one should be great a well. At least THQ did the right thing by selling their Saints Row IP to another publisher.

The game was already in developement before the sell off. So they are just finishing up the game, gonna be a good return on investment for them.

A lot of sites won't allow periods in their usernames and STALKER (and it's 1000 variants) are almost always taken, so I had to think of something new. I love lobster, I love S.T.A.L.K.E.R. so I compromised.

I like to think of it as the Bloodsuckers larger and meaner aquatic cousin
