Max Payne 3 $13.59

I played like 80% of the way through this game and then my save corrupted. This was when the game first came out and there was no way to download someone else's save or skip levels or anything.. I wonder if that's changed.
 
Why do I buy games for $30 when I can have it 6 months later for <$15?

Patience is HUGE in gaming, that goes for hardware also. Most want to play the newest right away, so they tend to spend on upgrades to do so.
 
this is the first game i played til the end since the original Modern Warfare
 
whoever has not played this, should buy it at this price! Tons of fun and it looks amazing.

ahah thats true. I usually only get new releases if I am really really interested in that game. I really wanted to play tomb raider and luckily with all those amd game cards I was able to get it for 25 bucks. Far Cry 3 I got for 30. Its great being a pc gamer. I also have a shit load of games I havent even installed, waiting is not hard.
 
How good is 3 compared to the first 1? I really enjoyed that one but maybe because it was one of the best 3rd person games w/bullet time on PC & had a cool story
 
In for one even though my backlog is getting quite deep. 30gb download is no joke though!

I got it from gmg a while ago and somehow fucked up when installing it and delete the file so I had to download it 3 times.

@pivot: its different from the 1st 2 but still more of the same. The plot is great too and its a fun game. Good game mechanics and it looks great.

Yeah, I usually load games on at least a couple different computers and typically just download them on each one, but with the size of this one, i'll have to make use of steam's backup/restore feature instead.
 
Is this the cheapest it had ever been? For the most part when you beat single player no reason to own it...

Most games are now including a multiplayer deathmatch style portion to give the games a little longer play life.

I'm tempted to give this game a go but don't know. Is it very hardware intense? I am currently playing the new tombraider on my laptop, and it just looks like the gameplay will be similar. I also got the uncharted games on ps3, gameplay looks similar as well.

this is different than tomb raider, way less exploring/climbing/platforming. It really is a run and gun, slowmotion gun, run gun, hide, gun run haha kinda of game. Its a nice looking game and but it does run all on max on my card, I do not know what laptop you have but I am sure it would kick some laptops asses.
 
hypertek- What do you think of tomb raider? Ive been hearing a lot of good reviews on it. But the same thing goes for TR once the single player is done its useless...Which is why Id wait til its much cheaper..No rush to play
 
If MP3 is similar to the first Max Payne in gameplay/storyline then its def worth it, but I wish the DLC was included...Are the DLC's worth it? I can wait longer to buy it, I own HL2 and never played the single player so lol I hardly ever can sit and play thru an entire single player game..
 
I think TR is pretty dope if you like third person games. The gun fights are pretty fun, she ducks when you are near cover.

Im 60% in tomb raider right now. Its a great game. Specially if you can get it in the AMD reloaded pack with bioshock infinite for $50. I would recommend tomb raider its been great so far.
 
Max Payne 3 has a great single player campaign although it can be short depending on how good/lucky you can get; some scenes are a pain in the ass. I played multiplayer for all of 5 minutes and haven't looked at it since. As far as I know all DLC's are multiplayer so no real loss there. If you were a fan of the last two games at this price you owe it to yourself to experience the latest chapter in Max's life.
 
I want to like this game, but the effects on the cut scenes get old fast & distracting..

Even thought I was having a graphics driver glitch at first... nope they made that way.

They kinda annoyed me at first as well but I think it helps reinforce the fact that Max is a pill popping alcoholic that can barely tell which end of the gun he should be on.

I understand the effect they were going for, and in the first few scenes it works great.

Just would have liked to have the choice to turn it off after a while, like the grain effect in L4D or Mass Effect. Still a solid game though.
 
For the price of a movie ticket, I decided to buy this. The single player I'm sure is longer and better than the movies in theaters right now :)
 
Damn i MIssed it =( Does anyone know if the Ebay offers are legit? Are the DLC worth it? Im sure this game will come down even more later on..

If you have a backlog, just wait for the spring sale. Pretty sure Max Payne 3 will pop up again at this price.
 
Fantastic, Fantastic game. Max Payne 3 was my most feared game because of new devs and the new look, but they came through fantastically. Such a great goddamn series.
 
I bought this for a friend. I wish I could have seen the look on his face when he saw the download size. :D
