I put about 100 hours into the first game with the DLC and am getting close to 100 on the second without the DLC so far. The sp is great but if you play with friends then the enjoyment is just multiplied.

Wow, that is a whole lotta hate for a pretty good game developer. BL co-op is one of the best gaming experiences you can have!
 
Does anyone know if this can be plugged into steam or do you have to use a gamefly client always?
 
i am still waiting for borderland 2 goty edition for 20 dollars or borderlands 2 + session pass for 20 dollars.
 
How is it playing with strangers? Is it like joining a Diablo 2 game and just killing shit with people?
 
I'm a little curious too. I bought it a while ago but haven't got that into it. Is it 4 player co-op like Far Cry 3/L4D?

Oh, and are there newb only campaigns? If I show up in the wrong place at lvl 5 I'd probably get slapped.

That's how it is for me. I'm not sure if you have to flag yourself as an open server or anything (my cousin jumped into game with me through Steam, but he's on my friendlist so I'm not sure how it all works still)... HOWEVER, I got on the match browser, find someone with decent ping, and just go trash stuff. Haven't met anyone who didn't enjoy the company so far. It's great.
