The Crysis 3 reviews are coming in and it would seem there is a consensus: the game is short, looks better on the PC and lacks in the story department. If you ask me, this is the best thing about the Crysis 3 launch.

Crysis 2 was pretty much an actual epic in length and I loved the long journey it took the player on, despite its issues I found it worthy of what praise it got outside of the eyecandy, hype and heritage.

So: wtf Crysis 3

crysis series overall would've gotten better reviews had the main character been a girl like this IMO... I for one never like looking at bulky men, especially when the camera seems to focus on their ass

seriously, doesn't it look like dude just gave a fart and he's asking you how is buns look?

So are we pretty much in the clear on seeing the nuclear meltdown that we saw around here when Crysis 2 launched? ;)

I wonder if anyone really thought it would turn out differently. Anything EA these days is destined to be a turd. Putting it on the Crytek engine just makes it a very polished turd.

I hope they don't expect people to pay $60 for this? Shouldn't this have been a $5 DLC instead?

All of this.

Woot... I thought this was out Friday for some reason, good news. It may be good it may be bad, but seriously who the fuck basis their purchase on a review? It's too subjective, it's not like a graphics card where you run it through benches and come out with an enjoyment factor.

I thought Crysis was a decent game....3/5, nothing to write home about other than being not optimized but pretty as hell.

I have yet to find a reason to believe that Crysis 2 (or now, Crysis 3) is any different. Average shooter, relies on looks too much. [Adam Sessler] A 3....out of 5. [/Adam Sessler]

Her outfit looks terrible

Its obviously some cheap POS leotard with a printed texture, had it looked like the real nano-suit complete with the fibro muscles etc that would have been awesome

...Pretty sure it is paint and underwear.

Apart from the undy bits...that is bodypaint, hoss.

:eek::eek:

Pretty disappointing, but not surprising. I never did like the Crysis series. Only thing I ever used Crysis was for playing the demo and seeing if my computer could run it. lol

You Missed out bro go buy the original now and play it it.

So are we going to get a performance review, Kyle?

I'm interested to know if the image quality is "efficient." We already know that it's taxing, but is the performance hit worth the image that you get back?

Too true.

I'll be looking at it

Sessler only gave it 3/5. Sounds about right.

As if the reviews matter at all in terms of how fun I'll find the game... hell, even forum user reviews are generally clueless or outright malicious nowadays. It's gotten very difficult to sift through the FUD to try to judge if a game's worth buying... :(.

So, the game got low scores because it lacked in the story department? Gameplay beta was 7/10. Will not pay but would play occasionally for free.

They should make MP free at some point, really. It's not going to cost them lost sales but the could learn to make better games in the end. It may be worth it to dedicate a few people's time to that as primary duty. They have the tech, just lack good gameplay people.

They won't make it free. The multiplayer for any FPS game is a strong selling point. Developers don't work on "learning".

Multiplayer will be ghost town in a few weeks. It that point it wont be a big selling point. I think Crytek have a lot to learn in the gameplay department. I know they contract pro gamers, but it would appear Crytek is not listening to those kids.

Some studios listen to players. Blizzard, id Software, and Valve come to mind. They don't make movies, they make games so they have no choice but listen to players, instead of random focus grooup subjects lol

Crytek is transitioning to F2P in a few years. See:
