MSI Twinfrozer with its Afterburner software?
Sapphire with its TRIXX software?
Or Gigabyte's Windforce better cooling? but limited software?

im leaning towards the sapphire since i can adjust the core voltage and memory voltages...

i hear msi and gigabyte is locked to you can adjust those?

overclocking is based on the silicon lottery. but there are few good HD 7950 cards with unlocked voltage.

sapphire HD 7950 boost suggested above is one of the best cards with unlocked voltage. 29cm long.

the HIS HD 7950 iceq x2 boost suggested above is a very good option. has a HD 7970 PCB with 8 + 6 pin power. more power phases than reference HD 7950 design. better stability and lower temps with extreme overclocking. unlocked voltage . 31.1 cm long.

I believe its the 7970's that are voltage locked.

My MSI Twin Frozr is not locked, core clock OCs to from 880 to 1150 with default settings and +20% power.

just got a 7950 msi twin frozr III and it has 8pin + 6 pin connector on 7970 pcb with unlocked voltage. Haven't tried overclockign yet, but those features led me to buy it used since warranty is transferable

I just got a Sapphire HD7950 Dual X. I'm at 1200/1550 right now.

Just curious since I've the same card, what voltage did you've to set it up to to get there?
Also, not that this means anything, but what is your ASIC score?

I've got gigabyte windforce version stable at 1150/1575 at 1.25v. I do not recommend gigabyte though because their vrm cooling is not very good.

I'm at 1.22v right now with MSI Afterburner. I haven't ran the GPU-Z test yet, I'll get it downloaded and let you know.

This card is pretty much the best. It has some very nice cooling and solid power delivery. But again, remember that thing called the silicon lottery. It can be forgiving or crushing, don't get your expectations raised too high based solely on brand alone.

I could go 1025/1575 on stock volts with my MSI Twin Frozr 3
