Well, looks like the Nexus 4 is back, but ships in 1-2 weeks.

Added one to my cart and almost hit the pay button, but decided I would rather wait for the S4 or the other phones coming out this spring/summer as my S3 is doing everything I need at the moment plus I can swap batteries and add extra storage.

For those that have been waiting, might want to get your order in ASAP and then sit and wait and see if it ships.

The Bump case is in stock too (same 1-2weeks ship time)

If you want the case and Nexus 4, order both at same time to get the same 2day shipping cost ($13.99 for both items or same $13.99 for just the Nexus 4 shipping). If you decide to buy the bumper case separately later on its an extra $5.99 shipping JUST for the bumper case.

Should of never been OOS I would of ordered one last month. Oh well too late now

Thanks for the heads up. Been waiting for stock so I can get my wife's line off Sprint.

thanks for heads up!
so I guess you cant change the 2 day shipping ($14 charge for me) for something cheaper?

I just cancelled my order. Since it was OOS for awhile I got the Note 2 and as alluring as a "Pure Google" experience is, the larger 5.5" screen and S-Pen features are growing on me.

Well I just impulse bought this from this thread, thanks (I think :p)

Does anyone know how the official bumper would compare with a third party one?

I haven't owned a smartphone yet, I'm wondering if I should get the bumper or not. Planning on buying a screen protector and skin already.

edit: Seems like the bumper is OOS already

The big attraction for me on this phone is the quad core 1.5ghz cpu & 2G ram. The S3 that is carrier branded in the US is generally only dual core from everything I've read...

Too late! I got a Nokia Lumia 810 already. Had these been available like a month ago, I probably would've gotten one of these instead. D'oh well.

can't wait for a verizon version to get released. No love for my current phone.

You may be waiting for quite a while. Verizon's handling of the Galaxy Nexus has most likely destroyed any chance of them ever getting another Nexus device.

Nope, and the Battery aint removable neither (so no carrying a spare battery to swap out). Couple this with a supposedly weak battery life, this may be a dealbreaker for some.

Mine has been running for 21h 27m 2s on battery and has 38% left. Yea... that's pretty terrible battery life.

lol...seriously?

IPS LCD
4.7in screen w/ 318ppi
2100mAh battery
Snapdragon S4 pro
Adreno 320 GPU
2GB RAM
8MP Camera
Bluetooth 4.0

1280x768 isn't really a big enough difference to upgrade over 1280x720. Running 4.2.1 I have no lag whatsoever on anything I do, so I'm not seeing a reason to upgrade until new apps start bogging the dual core. Also, the downgrade in storage and lack of LTE are deal killers. Probably wait til the octocore phones next year.

I'm tempted but 16GB isn't enough. I held out hoping it would get bumped to 32GB.

Yeah I see no reason to get this over the S3 neither. Lack of SD cards on google devices is disturbing. Honestly my phone operates just fine on it's 1.5Ghz dual core proc and haven't had anything slowing me down.

That's what's stopping me from getting one. It looks nice, but just no expandable memory is a downer and a bad design choice. The average run of the mill joe might be fine with 16gb, but for pretty much anybody that has a lot of music, photos, apps, videos etc... It's not gonna cut it.

How much have you been using it exactly? If you barely use your phone, then yeah makes sense. But if you're texting, talking, using apps, browsing the net ALL day like most people do; then it's not gonna last that long.

When you get fed up with the lack of apps, you'll be back ;)

I'm still waiting for the Nexus10 to come back into stock. My Nexus7 has been a pure joy, flawless, never a single crash or any weirdness, want a 10" to see which form factor i like better overall

I bit as well. Keep an eye open to make sure that the new shipping versions (16gb etc..) all still allow you to enable LTE support! Lets not forget that these things actually have LTE support (for at least some of the bands, specifically Tmobile/Canadian carrier preferred bands that many NA carriers will be switching to in the next year), they just were not registered with the FCC as such and therefore turned off by default. I will be very disappointed if I find that this new shipment group has LTE disabled somehow etc...

I text (via Google Voice), use gtalk, facebook, twitter, etc. Notifications are turned on for all of my social apps. I am on HSPA+ all day at work and wifi at home. I browse, use google reader, gmail and an exchange account at regular intervals. I also stream radio using the radio.com app during the day to bluetooth headphones.

I would say that I use my phone like anyone else would, and possibly more, and it lasts me a full day without charging.

My nexus 4 lasts 3 days before having to charge (at <10%) when I barely use it (check email, make a call or two per day), on wifi at home, on hspa+ otherwise.

Actually got a shipping notice already, ordered mid afternoon yesterday.

wtf!!!!

Order Date: January 29, 2013 9:20:45 AM UTC-8

literally a minute after it said In Stock, i ordered.

no shipping notice yet :(

Yeah, I have the same experience. I do have to say that if you sit down and have a lot of time to waste on the phone then you see battery life, but any normal usage case it seems to hold up fine.

I got an email saying my Nexus bumper has already shipped...that was rather fast for a "1-2 week" estimated ship date.

I love this phone...

Let me emphasize, I LOVE this phone. Its blazing fast, the screen is great and despite all the little stupid problems that people return it for over on XDA, it is truly the best phone to have paired with the absolute latest version of Android.

The battery life is in fact the weakest part of this phone, but unlike the iPhone 5 (which I own as well), I don't have to spend 30 dollars for a cord. I actually own 5 or so microUSB cables so I have one at the house, at work, in my car and a few extras laying around just in case.

To combat the battery issue I do have a 5200 mH battery pack.

If people are wondering how it pars against the iPhone 5, Android vs. JB, no comparison.. I've had an iPhone since 3GS and JB 4.2 spanks iOS 6. i5 to me is so boring now and its just.. a phone. I'm not trying to start a flame war here, but I was an iPhone user and loved it but now it actually is a backup. The iPhone 5 is superior in camera, batt life and sound (loudness) other than that it's really a no brainer.

And if you're up in the air about whatever android phone you have vs the N4.. nothing beats it. You could argue that the S3 does, but unless you're looking to root and mess with kernels and custom roms, then don't even think, just get the N4.
