Raidmax Orion Mid-Tower ATX Case Review - Raidmax is a big name worldwide in budget computer cases. Today we have a chance to look at its Orion case that sports a very long list of nice features as well as remembering the important things like air flow, cable routing, and dust control. Do all of these worthy features go along with a lower cost case?

I love seeing that "FAIL" badge at the end. It is not because I want to see a product do bad, but it's because I want to see people willing to call a fail a fail rather than calling it a "6 out of 10".

I have to say, I'm not in the typical [H] target audience. When I saw the question "Hasn't anyone ever installed a 3-way SLI system in the Orion?" I though, who the hell needs to bother with that? LOL.

Thanks.

Alright!! First case fail EVAR!!!!

honestly....what can you expect for 60 of your bucks?

The Carbide 200r that was recommended in the conclusion is $60. Good cases can absolutely be had for $60. The lower cost usually means cheaper materials and fewer features, bells, and whistles, but it's does not automatically mean "piece of shit".

Not surprised. Last year I needed a short-term temporary case. Found a RaidMax case on sale at Frys. What I got was such crap. The cardboard box it came in would have been a better case!

Will never touch RaidMax again.

Agree, but the Carbide is not a plastic-ed up POS.......this one truely is.

I'd send this to that guy in texas who shoots shit up on youtube and see how it holds up!!:eek:

I have a Raidmax tornado. It was given to me for free, so I can't complain too much. :)

EDIT: Worst case I've ever worked with. Terrible. I actually had to move my video card to the PCI Express x4 slot because the case is blocking the video outputs on the card. I don't friggin believe this. Forget free, this case is going to cost me because I'm going to order another one. Very disappointed.

And, you didn't even have to deal with their incredibly poor (in my experience) customer service. They are off my list for the foreseeable future.
