Isn't there a place on Amazon to submit links like this to try to get them to lower their prices to match?

Yes, almost to the bottom of the item page in the Feedback section in Blue: Would you like to update product info, give feedback on images, or tell us about a lower price?

Click on "tell us about a lower price" and fill out the small form with lower price url, submit and wait for the change. Sometimes it takes an hour or two, maybe longer.

YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME

I just ordered another SSD from Amazon because I felt this one was too much!
*spams the cancel order button*

Edit: just ordered one. Thanks OP!

If Amazon's bots can figure out how to add it in the cart.

Damn that's a good price. I don't shop at NewEgg often anymore, but if it's $25 cheaper than amazon, and actually in stock, I'll give it a shot. In for one.

Thanks - all I can ever find when searching their site is their stupid "We only price match TVs" blurb on the help page...

great find OP - thnx
At that price I just have to get a couple
$226 @ Amazon now - I also dont shop at NE
Want to get one of the new PCIe SSD (700/550) but who knows what they will cost and when they become avail - just cant wait anymore
So I will try the pricematch thingy

Edit:
Put price in pricematch @ 9:45 Lets see what happens.
Maybe if several people do it, ups odds to make it happen

This is a nice find. Amazon will price match if people spam them enough but since this is one of those "add to cart then discover price" links they might not.

Just read a review of this SSD, this thing is stupid fast! i bet, it could compete with WD V-Raptors in RAID 0.

Excellent price. Was able to get them to refund me the $15 extra I paid them for an 840 Pro last week, and am considering buying a second to replace the 830 in my laptop (totally unnecessarily, but hey).

Was really surprised that it took some cajoling to get the refund - I'm used to better service than that. Guess that's why I rarely shop Newegg anymore. Shame I have to pay taxes on Amazon purchases. :(

Inferno deal. Amidst all the fantastic ssd deals of the past 2 months I've really, really been trying to hold out for sub-$300 500GB+ drives to drop in price, but this deal might just be too good to pass up.

With ssd shipments expected to double this year, prices by summer/fall should be jaw-dropping, but can't imagine the price will be much lower for a drive this blazingly fast. Plus, this drive can be bought right now and used for 3-6 months before seeing any significantly better deals on 256GB ssds. 500GB+ ssd prices can't drop fast enough at this point! Cookie cookie cookie!

Edit: had seen the deal yesterday, and decided to sleep on it. Woke up, still in stock, talked myself into it with my above post. ;) Couldn't pass it up, thanks OP/slickdeals!

Amazon's price match blows donkey sack. I always have to chat with them and they will price match individually, but that stupid "tell us about a lower price" has never worked on anything I've ever submitted.

Good timing. Had to uninstall a few programs last night due to space problems on my 120gb.

Same story over here. I bought 2 a few days ago and noticed the price drop. (Or so I thought) talked to customer service and they wanted to give me a $30 gift card! I pretty much said no thanks. Then I realized I only purchased 1 SSD! D'oh! But after a pretty heated fight, they credited me back after using the point over and over again that I havent even received the drive yet. oh well, ordered the other one for the discounted price. Newegg customer service has gone down the toilet.

Wow, $30 gift card to apply to a second drive. Lets see: $215 + $200 - $30 = $385 for the pair. Doh is right! :p

Can't agree with this one, not yet anyway. Just called to bitch about my $215 on 1/15. She gave me the "We don't normally do this but..." Got $20 bucks back on the card. She said $20 cause it was a "bother" for me to have to call them. Funny thing was, I had been completely ready to get nothing. I wasn't even going to fight. All I said was that I bought the drive and, and, and, WHAAAAAAAAAAAA! Boom, twenty bucks. :D

Amazon price matched Newegg

In stock but may require an extra 1-2 days to process.

LOL, more like crush Velociraptors in RAID 0. Plus it's silent, not an annoying 50 decibels or whatever the Raptors are.
I think feedtheducks was kidding. After years of ssd reviews on every tech site, my guess is that most [H] users realize ssds stomp all over hdds.

Zomg shiny!

If I see a deal for a 512GB version for 399 I'm going to jump on the nearest fence and crush my balls.

I bit, been wanting to replace the 320 HDD in my Lenovo X230. Had thought about going mSATA but I decided I'd rather have a fast SSD running at SATA III speed (mSATA only runs at SATA II speed).

I was considering the Crucial M4 512GB SSD which is $399. Is the Samsung 840 Pro version significantly faster?

.

Thinking of biting on this. It would be used on a SATA II board for now but still a very tempting price.

meh I just bought a 250gb samsung 840 on egg for $150 the other day. Need to slow down I now have (1) 120gb corsair, (2) Kingston hyperx 120gb, seagate Momentus XT (500gb nad 750gb)

It benchmarks faster but in terms of real world performance? No. The only plus I can see versus the M4 is that Samsung's are suppose to have serious longevity. But since that'll take time to prove its anyone's guess right now.

I wouldn't hesitate on the M4 512GB though , they are EXCELLENT drives. I have 4 256GB drives in various PC's and they are all rock solid champs.

The 840 Pro has a 5 yr warranty where the M4 has a 3 year. Perhaps the longer warranty speaks to the longevity?

In any regard I ended up cancelling my order. I've purchased at the Egg before but for some reason I'd rather not buy items like this from them. And by the way, looks like the deal is now dead. ($319.99)
