I'm needing to cram my rig into a smaller space so huge subs and multiple speakers have to go.

Is there any 2 channel subless setup that sounds great or one with a small sub to preserve under desk room?

Dayton Audio B652 and Lepai LP-2020A+ works great for me, no sub, and they do lack the bottom end, but they still sound great.

so that B652 and lepai set up mentioned is cheap as heck and all..

I'm seriously considering replacing the Polkaudio T15 bookshelf speakers I have been using with my SMSL SA-S3 t-amp ... sound pretty good..but really needs a sub I have a Polk PSW10 hooked up with my T15s

with these Cambridge audio S30 bookshelf speakers they have suprisingly good bass response for as small as they are..

$220

if you go the lepai route get a better 5A /6A power supply for it..it comes with a 2A one that really hobbles it's potential.

my SMSL SA-S3 was more than the lepai..but has nice components / build quality and came with a decent liteon 4A power supply...it was $60 shipped .

if you don't want to wait on shipping from china a popular t-amp is the Topping TP-20 MKII

or of course the Dayton DTA-100a

personally i didn't care for the looks of the lepai and was suspicious of it's build quality so i chose to look at other options.

Have you considered decent headphones? Just throwing it out there. I went from Z-5500 to Audio Technica headphones and I don't regret it. Plus, I had money left over from the trade.

Cool deal. I'll check those out. Anyone else? M-Audio setup?

I use M-Audio powered monitors myself. They definitely sound good. But I'd still suggest you go with the Leipai + B652s first before dropping money on monitors. (and I'd still suggest a sub, if you can afford it, either way).
