card for Far Cry 3&Assassins Creed

I'm looking for some good video card for my friend who is a big fan of games and soon he'll have birthday. His wife is buying him Far Cry 3 and AC3, so I've been thinking about buying him some video card, nice for those games
 
Depends on what budget and motherboard you have/he has. Cant go wrong with a GTX670 to start with.
 
Please post the specs of his existing system if you know it, as well as your budget for the new video card.
 
Yeah, unless we know the rest of entire system specs, we can only speculate which graphics card and/or configuration of graphics cards would work best. Myself, I have a GTX 670 and it played FC3 very smoothly at the highest detail settings.

You are looking at two ends of the spectrum between what has probably become one of, if not the most demanding pc game out right now and a console port with console quality graphics.

rest of the spec will be nice.
 
HD 7950 boost for the best price perf. 925 mhz boost. costs USD 300. at stock speeds matches GTX 670. HD 7950 is 3 - 5% slower than HD 7970 at same clocks. overclocks easily to 1100 mhz and matches HD 7970 Ghz (1050 mhz performance).

so you are just going to ignore the people that asked you to list the rest of the specs? AGAIN please list the rest of the pc specs in detail including psu and monitor resolution. if you dont know these then find out because that determines the level of gpu that is appropriate.

and you guys should stop giving him suggestions until he answers that question.
