When will we see something new? Out with LCD!

I am so utterly fed up of LCD and it's plethora of short comings.
IPS panel this, VA panel that, TN panel blah blah!

LCD sucks! And no i won't be going back to my beloved CRT.
It seems plasma is the only alternative, but of course those are not produced under 42" and they have their own laundry list of short comings..

It feels as if we've gone backwards 30 years!
Where is OLED? Where is something...ANYTHING that will move us forward past 1993 when we gamed on a CRT, and actually improve on those qualities we had?

I just want a nice display i can use where i don't have to constantly fret over limitations like 60hz stutter, clouding, colors, viewing angles, dead pixel's..Christ the list goes on!

Hah... I feel ya. Been trying to replace my CRT for 2 years without luck. Good news is it looks like we are finally overcoming the "Big 3" problems of LCD tech (poor contrast, limited color gamut, and motion blur). The days of shitty LCDs aren't over yet, but at least we can finally stop praying for OLED/QLED.
