The white-bladed ones. I'm hearing a lot of clicking @ 7v setting for sure, 12 they kind of rumble. I know lots have this case - did you replace and what with?

I'm wanting to use the 5/7/12v switch though.

Not sure if they are the same fans as the Arc Mini but I replaced all of them with Gentle Typhoon's.

I own two R-4's I have had no problem with the stock fans. I did move the rear fans to the front to help with intake and replaced the rear's with Noctua P-14. I have the fronts running off the fan controller at 7V.

Looks like I have one that is visibly wobbly when running but they all seem a bit quieter after a few days runtime. Maybe just me!

I'm going to be replacing all of mine with Cougars in the new year.

Would you say picking up an R4 Pearl Black for $70 new would be something I should be doing?

$70 is a very good price. Personally I would get and use R4 at that price. But only a good price if you need and will use it. ;)

Newegg did have the R4 on sale for quite awhile at $80. It looks like it's back up to regular price now, unfortunately. :(

I had some vibration in my R4 case initially. Seems to have been from the front intake fan not being seated properly in the big plastic holder. No clicks/audible vibration from 2 intake/1 exhaust at 7v now.

Was your front piece, the fan housing loose? Mine seems to be but I haven't really messed with it a lot yet. I'm talking about the thing in this picture

Not sure if the fan housing itself was loose (as in seated incorrectly), to be honest. The intake fan itself wasn't entirely flush with the fan housing, though. I'm guessing some jostling either during shipping or when I did the initial assembly. I didn't think to check the intake fan and fan housing at the time. It's possible I just yanked too hard on the fan cable when I was doing cable routing.
