Link to the stand for that P280? I need one for mine as I have carpet as well and hate the dust being drawn into the rig.

You guys have some great wire management. Also, where's the desk clutter? It's not a workstation without desk clutter.

I made it with some parts from Ikea and bolts from a local hardware store. The shelf is Ekby Laiva (23 1/4" x 9 1/2"). The legs are 4" Capita. I forgot the size of the bolts but they are stainless. You can see I made another one to use on top of the desk.

Crappy cell phone pic :( Will take better pic later.

Needs paint and wire management.

Nice setup! Do the cat dishes or cat for that matter ever get in the way? My cat likes to sit behind the monitors but she doesn't eat on my desk. BTW, the Star Wars models are an awesome touch!

Thanks! I finally convinced my wife to start buying me lego star wars models for Christmas and my birthday. I think lego is way more fun when you're an adult :)

The cat dishes are up on the desk because we also have two puppies who like to eat cat food. He gets in the way, but not because of the food dishes, but rather because he likes to chase the mouse cursor on the screen. Gets annoying when I'm trying to get work done (I'm a home based programmer).

@mangapc: Thanks!

what do you guys use multiple computers for? just curious

Frank N Stein - gaming/work
Asus TF700T - mobile work when I do not need the power of Frank Jr
ASUS-Automobili Lamborghini VX7SX (Frank Jr)- when I need power on the go
HTPC
WHS/File server

my wife does the iPad thing and PC desktop when she has to.

I'll try to get Frank posted here as well once I get the upgrade done.

Great rigs guys, just browsed 88+ pages and caught up at 30k ft in the air while heading to Seattle - nice way to kill some time in the air. Getting ideas..........

I think that desk is a solid door on 2 shelves. I have seen several people do this and i think it is awesome.

I believe it's just an Ikea oak tabletop. Doesn't look like the maple benchtops from McMaster Carr or Grizzly.

Home workstation...

I think it's this one (i think):

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sharkoon-St...EQXM/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1355076715&sr=8-6

I want to know as well, and what desk that is and the chair :D.

Not the OP, but the chair is a classic of mid-century modern design (or a replica): the Eames Aluminum Group Executive Chair. People may not recognize the Eames name, but will recognize the current official manufacturer: Herman Miller. You can see them in person in DWR stores where they run ~$1,500, knock-offs maybe a tenth of that.

Hey there. I've been looking the forum for a while and now i think its time for me to post my workstation. Can't compare to some people's work here but it satisfies me, does the job, and mostly gives me the pleasure cause it all handmade by me :D

nothing wrong with a little handmade pleasure! looks great man.

Not as nice as most here, but where I spend 8-9 hours a day (work from home). Sorry about the shit lighting, for some reason I'm never able to take decent photos with my iPhone...

The pattern you have on the walls is really neat, I like it a lot!

Thanks, though I cannot stand it haha... it was done by the previous owners of the house and none of the lines are level, it's not a repeating/symmetrical pattern, and it's actually recessed into the wall so I'd have to plaster over the entire thing to repaint it without it looking like shit :( If it had been done well it would be another story.

Well that seems like a lot of effort for a minimal payoff, I mean the pattern looks good, providing the rest of the room was designed to fit in with it (which you can tell it isn't, example A. Window frame!).

It sounds to me like you may just have yourself a little project on your hands though, I can tell you've thought about it!

You really don't need that center behind the monitor if you have that sort of room for the left and right. Just raise them up a bit and set your receiver to phantom center and you will be fine.

Cleaned up wires under the desk (DIY wire basket) and made some monitor stands and a headphone stand with some leftover click-lock flooring. I also took some better photos with my DSLR, but those still need edited (I only shoot in RAW).

It was nice but looks even nicer, very sharp!
