Corsair M60 might work for you. It's not much bigger than the G9/G9X and is better built, IMO.

Just got this in today! KBT Race 75% w/ Cherry MX Blues.

Don't mind the bad pic, will get better ones later with the wife's camera.

Did you have to order that directly through Rabbit Web Factory?

It's the only place I can find it, it seems like a private manufacturer or something.

I'm very interested in grabbing one, with blue switches, just wondering about the actual quality and if there's another way/place to order it from. I've heard great things about it.

Any feedback? Good for gaming (i.e. no ghosting and the general feel etc)?

I have had used X6 and G9 for many years now (pictured) and was thinking about getting a white Cyborg M.M.O. 7
but wouldn't want that single knobby poking out the back going in to my gel wrist pad.

Because the G9 tends to heat up with the weights installed from being black. And the wire getting frisky by being so stiff in the keyboard tray.

Ditto this guy. I switched to the Spawn a while back and it's great.

What keyboard is that? I cant see a name on it...

He said it's a Ducky so it has to be either a Shine II or a Year of the Dragon 2012 SE as those are the only two backlit tenkeyless boards they've made to date, AFAIK.

Based on the FN key actually saying FN and the duck logos on certain keys I'm pretty sure it's a Shine II.

Thanks for the info!

I think I'm going to try out the blues, see how it goes for gaming.

Any ghosting every notices with blue switches?

Also, how's the rep with this brand? Seems solid.

I'm coming from an old Saitek that's lasted me forever, rubber domes I think.

I actually own 2 of those. They are great keyboards. Build quality is top notch. I ordered mine directly from the manufacturer like you said.

No ghosting. I have a blue and red switch type. Both feel exactly like you would expect.

How would you say the Shine II holds up in comparison? It also seems like a good, solid keyboard.

Haven't heard back from the guys regarding the KBT Race, so might go for the Shine II. Good move?

The Shine is a TAD, and I mean a tad bit better in quality. If the Shine is a 10/10 the Race is a 9.5/10. Can't go wrong with either.

thank you Santa

new xmas keyboard WASD MX-Cherry brown with dampers and orange esc /WASD keys

the dampers are the thinner ones keys feel great and noise is very low.... honestly this is probably quiter than the MS 4000 ergo keyboard it replaces

I'm totally in love with this thing right now... and mouse G500 laser mouse

this thing wasn't cheap but dang is it pretty ...flash sorta made the orange keys look a lot brighter than they are in real life however.

It does look nice. I'm personally a fan of the red Esc key and lavendar WASD cluster that a couple of my boards have, but I do like that orange too. You won't find this level of customization with membrane/rubber dome keyboards!

thanx guys ... i struggled with which color i wanted the semi custom keys

but seeing this thing on xmas day (wife bought it as xmas present) i was immediately sure this was just right.

i also think the dampers i got with have worked out really well... i got the ones with minimal reduction in travel so the keys feel about the same as other mx brown keyboards i messed with but the noise reduction is significant... i didn't want to wake people up late night so the dampers have really been helpful i think.

My little setup (sorry for the bad quality — the pic was taken with my phone):

Filco Ninja TKL MX Red and G700.

Hmm. I see I'm not the only one who is borderline insane when it comes to mechanical keyboards. :D

Here's my keyboard at work. It showed up as a "Please recycle this". I just couldn't do it. Note the blank key and the misplaced Windows key. Drives my coworker nuts it's so loud. It's from a "portable" Pentium III system (monitor and all) that came with a handle.

Got my Pure CNC Limited edition (w/ MX Browns) on Saturday. Still waiting on my Poker w/ Ergo Clears

My "old" Realforce 87UB:

and my new Cybord R.A.T 7:

Sorry for the poor quality camera phone pictures!

My new Corsair M65 mouse. It doesn't have the "cursor drift" problem that caused me to return my M60.

zxwis0.jpg

how's the scroll wheel? as it as wonky as the M60's
The wheel seems to work just fine, but I never had a problem with the one on my M60.

I like the white finish better. It's not that annoying pseudo-rubber-matte crap that was on the black M60.
