I've owned this mouse pad for five years and LOVED it. Up until last night...

I regrettably used my mouse to relieve some Battlefield stress and shattered the thing. I would have thought twice if I would have known how hard they are to find now. I'm really hoping someone can help me find one somewhere for under 50 dollars... This is the link to the product page:

Thanks!

Man, I feel for you. I've got an original black Icemat that's still in pristine condition after years if faithful service. Sometimes you can find them for decent prices on eBay.

I do need to give props to Logitech for the durability of the G9x, will buy from them again!

A couple months ago I was looking all over for a black I-2 and couldn't find one so I searched for other ultra low friction pads. I ended up getting a Corsair MM400, they just came out with them. I highly recommend it, it is super low friction like the I-2. It is $30.

Thanks sharknice...I like the look of it as well. I'll try a bit more for the I-2, if I can't find it I may settle on this.

Any luck finding another I-2/Icemat?

Thought I'd post mine to keep you motivated to find another.

Why would you put cloth ahead of plastic, I just got my first plastic and got a noticeable increase in small movement tracking.
Are we just talking durability or 'feel'?

Just personal preference. I don't like the feel of plastic pads.

Where does anodized aluminum fit into your rankings?
Doesn't make the cut. Too slick for me. I prefer a surface that offers more control.

Are these really so durable?
I've just bought one (the blue l-2) after many opinions they would never wear out. The feel is awesome and if this will last forever (or at least 5-6 years, or at least 3 years with no sign of wearing) it could prove one of the best purchases I've ever made.

Where did you find one?

At a local retailer shop in my country (I bought it online). Surprisingly they had half a dozen unsold items and they told me nobody has been interested in them for 6 months! Now I shared my ultimate pleasure with couple of friends, and they purchased most of the other pieces the same day.

My Corsair M65 mouse is so sensitive that I had to retire my black Icemat. It's just too slick. I need more control than the Icemat provides and have switched to a big X-Trac cloth pad.
