Burning [H]ot: THQ Humble Bundle

A few million could be all it takes to cover a gap between the cash they have and the cash they need to get a game to market or buy them an extra week or two to refinance their existing debt. In the grand scheme of things it's not much, but it is possible it could be the critical difference to get them through the bottom of the V and back on the rise. Then again they could just piss the money away and go bankrupt anyhow.

Sweet. Saints Row 3 for $5.75. I already own all the other games, so SR3 was all I really wanted, & this is the cheapest I have seen it.

Do keep this in mind however gang...

Ah yes another "Steam is DRM" article.
I've bought several of the other bundles. You know how many (out of those) that I'm running the standalone game outside of Steam, installed with the standalone installer that they've put on the site? 0. As far as I'm concerned, I buy these bundles for the Steam keys. I want every damn game I own for PC to be in Steam; that's why I have bought nothing in Origin and basically will continue to do so. I don't want fifteen different DD stores with my game library scattered across all of them.

As far as I'm concerned, the whole "bundle" idea has been beaten to death in a miniscule amount of time. The first few were so scattered around, and only one site did them....it was special. Now, several sites do them, they happen quite often, and it's lost it's appeal almost as bad as woot.com and the woot off. This is the first bundle that I've been excited for in a long time, probably since the 2nd one.

OT ~ had to buy this....already own Metro, Darksiders, and Company of Heroes....surely it's worth it for the CoH expansions, RF:A and of course SR3.

Im debating buying a few more. Don't need sr3, but I think they will make great $5 gifts for the console gamers I've converted to steam.

6 Games downloading for less than 6 buckaroos! :) (Already had Metro 2033)
Thx OP!

so everyone knows , the bundle give you 2 keys ,

1 for Darksiders, Red Faction: Armageddon, Metro 2033, Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, and Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor

and 1 for saints row the third.

I grabbed it for my wife, so she can swing dildo bats in Saints Row: The Third. :D

I did $15

THQ: $2.50
Charity: $10
HB: $2.50

Deal. :)

Yet another bundle. Already have Metro 2033, so I may have a key to give away.

The only game that comes with it's own seperate key is Saints Row 3. The rest are all tied to one bundle key.

Saints Row: The Third is the epitome of tasteless vulgarity. Don't degrade yourself by playing it.

I paid $25. Sure I may already have COH and all the expansions, but I was once poor and pirated way too many games. This is my way of clearing a guilty conscience :)

So the only games you ever pirated were THQ games? Yeah..... Right. And $25 dollars is nothing compared to how much these games should cost you. You should still feel bad for all your years of stealing. This doesn't even scratch the surface of making up for it.

GATHER YE STONES, THROW HENCEFORTH!

I'm getting to damn old I think, I looked at all those titles and just couldn't find myself inspired to play any of them, yet the tiny simple games by indy developers I'm all over... *cry*

I Had Metro, But all the others I held out on... Good thing I did.

Ridiculous deal. And I don't have any of these games- not even Metro.

That said, the fact that they will all go right into the backlog has me holding off. I'm done buying games simply because they are a deal and then never getting to them. Didn't buy anything during the last Steam sale.

Although, with well over a week left on this bundle, I'm sure that I will eventually bite and then crank up the charity slider...

This. I'm not going to remember a dozen logins and passwords, recreate and reinvite a dozen friends lists, etc. Not at all worth it. My Steam backlog is already 100+ games, and my friends are already there.

EDIT: On topic, ridiculously good deal. There's at least 75-100 hours of quality gameplay here for the price of a cheeseburger. I bought two. 100% to THQ because they are struggling and so they can make more great games.

Glad to see Humble Bundle is sticking to their guns by only offering indie developed games that are DRM free across multiple platforms.

Oh wait...

I find it funny that they pledged that.

Maybe they figured out that there are not very many indie games that people would ever want to play. Same goes for indie music.

Anyway, grabbed it a few days ago for $10. I have all those COH games and wish they had their own codes.

in for the deal. Dont have any of these games and Im looking forward to making my 670 scream in metro.

Yeah they arn't very good games except Company of Heroes. I only got this for Red Faction Armageddon. $3 dollars is the mouse i'd ever pay for it too it's pretty mediocre.

Already over $2.5m. Maybe this will help THQ stay in business and at least finish up a few games they have coming out in the next few months.

All of it doesn't go towards THQ.

Maybe 1 million would go to THQ and I don't think that will be enough to help them.

why don't you use one login and one password...:rolleyes:

why don't you use one login and one password...:rolleyes:

Because that's a horrible security practice?

It's not hard to use one login with one base password that you alter slightly or salt in ways a machine or casual observer wouldn't notice tho (in case of a security breach)... Like say it's pa55w0rd, for your base, and you then add Ste or Gam when using it at Steam or Gamespot.

You can take it a bit further and rather than append the service specific variation at the end you flip it and insert it in between the base password. So you'd get something like pa55w0ertdS or pa55w0mradG, easy to type and remember but hard to figure out from glancing/scanning unless someone's targeting you specifically.

Ok, the pay terms say you can pay with any major credit card, so I want to do that and NOT use google/paypay/amazon. Anyone know how to do it?

If you've never bought anything from either of those three and don't have accounts at any of them, I don't think you can be helped. I just used Amazon and it's just like buying anything else from Amazon. I can understand not wanting to use Paypal, but Amazon?
