Deal talk is beginning to simmer on the retail edge site.

From the site:

The Holiday Deal
The Holiday Deal goes live on the afternoon of November 28, and we can tell you that a 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processor will be available! Review the list of requirements now!

So I think *at least* people who are eligible for these deals can expect a 3rd gen CPU deal, which is pretty great. Hoping for a nice store refresh and maybe some other deals.

Don't forget to get your status and training up to ensure your eligibility and be prepared to hop right on when these pop up as you just never know what demand will be.

yeah was kinda hoping for some cool deals other than cpus lol i know that sounds dumb coming from an intel site but i just dont need one right now

i'm willing to bet it'll either be a 3770k or the 3770t. i bet they'll combo with another 330 or 520 ssd and maybe an intel board. it'd be nice if they offered another 3930k.

pretty much the same as last year when i bought my 2700k for the same price but it was 349 on newegg.

Sigh. The Winter deals are so bad. Bring on the Summer deals, EVERY deal! Wooooo!

This thread and this Winter deal need more 3930k.

I'm interested in the processor if anyone won't be buying one for themselves and would like to help me out.

same here if someone can hook me up with this deal ill be more than greatful and would be happy to put alil something in there pocket aswell for there time

If someone would be able to share their 3770k, I would be extremely greatful as I'm looking to build my first PC! Currently have the i5-3570k in mind at $150...

I'm disappointed. This summer deal was better with the hexa core 3970k for $200.

It was the 3930K that was this past summer. Summer deal was a whole lot better. SSD is not worth it especially when you can get one cheaper.

Damn I was hoping for a better deal. The MB price is pretty much what you can get at the Egg or amazon for w/o tax and shipping, the SSD is the usual non-deal.

I kind of want to get a new CPU and MB so I still might go for processor since that itself is a good price.

If someone would let me order just the CPU, I would be highly grateful! I will take all the tests to get Rock Legend status! Hoping for PM :)

Same here, interested in CPU only if someone has the means but isn't interested in their deal. PM me to work something out.

^^^^Poor college boy who wants to bring a PC into his dorm.

would be nice if someone could hook me up

Edit: Actually, is there a list somewhere of the retail stores you have to work for to qualify for the program? I might know some friends

Just visit the Intel Retail Edge website. It lists the qualified businesses and requirements.

Anyone else here work for AT&T? Can you login and see what the price the deal would be for you and report back?

I spent a couple hours last night getting points from 20k to 34k with no noticeable change in "rank". I was already platinum on the points meter and still am after all of the new points. This is leading me to believe that Intel either raised the points or requirements for Rockstar or AT&T employees might not be eligible for it.

Am I missing something where it shows what "rank" I am (ie. Roadie, Rockstar, Rock Legend, etc.)?

Check this post towards the bottom and it lists all the retailers and TOS. I ended up finding a friend at Best Buy who can help me out :)

Well after getting up to 40k points and still only seeing the single price of $105 for deal #1; it has lead me to believe that AT&T is only getting the deal at a single price. The website doesn't even show the other ranks and prices (ie. Roadie, Rockstar, etc.).

have you been verified yet by Intel? They get slow with that around deal time. The status levels are the same for everyone that participates, AT&T will be no different than BB or Costco. you can email them from your account page or check the forums for information on your status level not updating.

I have been on retail edge for over a year. Employment is verified as of late October. I may send them an email to see what the deal is.

hmmm 3770K for $110 shipped..i'll probably bite on this even though i don't need it, the ssd isn't worth it, and the processor and mobo to me isn't worth it either..but processor alone yea its dirt cheap

Just an FYI for AT&T peeps...

You only have one price and cannot get the SSD.

Thank you for contacting the Intel® Retail Edge Program team.

As you can see when you sign into your site, the status levels that you refer to are not status levels that apply to your retailer, AT&T. Note that different retailers have access to different versions of the site and as such different offers. You are correct, AT&T has one price level for the Holiday Deal so that all users can participate, and the SSD is not an item that is available for AT&T users.

Sincerely,

Intel® Retail Edge Program Support

3770K's for $105?! Why all the bitching and moaning about lousy deals? You guys realize that most of us here at [H] would give a bodypart for that deal?

What are you talking about? Only three people bitched in the beginning of the thread about a "lousy" deal on the processor. The only reason they are bitching is due to the summer deal had a 3930k hexacore cpu. Finally the rest said the motherboard was priced too high and the SSD is not worth it.

Honestly I think most of us that can get in on the deal are thankful. I know I am.

Really? Wow. I guess I stand corrected. You can still spend the points on the store items ... right?

I believe so. I have not tried to purchase any items with points. Also most of the items are pretty tame and from what I read change from time to time.

The Holiday Deal is LIVE! Supplies are limited, so be sure you’ve met all the requirements (including current employment verification) before we sell out!

$129.81 shipped here.

Your points is not affected if you purchase anything from the winter deal. just picked me up the processor and used my points on some corsair fans

Did you guys get an email confirmation after purchase? I purchased a 3770k two hours ago and no email confirmation yet.

Yes both me and my wife had confirmation emails.

No confirmation yet, 6 hours later but the deal link is marked in red, "you already ordered a deal." This is not unusual. For chips purchases I don't usually even get email but the items always show up.

Did you ever get tracking email updates whenever that happened?
