Intel Core i5-3570K 33% off retail price @ 4:40PM EST

just curious how you know it's 33%. I see the upcoming deal but not the discount. probably just missing it somewhere.

wow they went in 1 second.

honestly they must have sold 3 at that price.. ridiculous. amazon never has good deals on these days.

That was fast. I hit refresh at the :40 minute mark and saw the price drop to 189.99, and immediately this is what is printed where add-to-cart would be:

Lightning Deal Price
$189.99 (31% off)
100% now claimed
Waitlist only (what's this?)

And all discounts already claimed. Move along, nothing to discount here...

i know. there was literally no time to get it.

pretty sure you actually have to sell something at the discount price to get call it a discount. I can't just say $10 off and demand full price.

wow did they have one unit for sale? That was ridiculous.

No, but you gotta realize there are tens of thousands of people that want the same discount that you do. So even if they had 500 units for sale at that price, it will go ridiculously fast.

Missed this deal. 500+ on the waitlist and I have a poor chance to get in on it. Don't know how I missed it, I waited for the countdown, or should i have placed my order before the countdown? There is always Monday I guess.

You are not saying, and here I thought it was just the three of us fighting over one chip ;)

I am upset that I missed Tigerdirct's in store sale of 3570K's for $149.99 plus tax (but I did get a 3770 for $249 + tax). As much as I would love to shop at MC, the 1200 mile round trip drive puts a damper on any potential savings. Other people have to deal with a similar lack of a local MC. So, it is worth while for people to post other good deals on processors even if those deals are not as hot as the ones you luck MCers enjoy.

On the flip side, I do not yet have to deal with upfront sales tax collection by Amazon, Buy.com, or Newegg.

I got the 3570K for $150, 80th in line. And a couple vertex 3's.

Now the OP's link takes you to Xublink not amazon. How does that happen?
