I will get the DSLR out tomorrow when I clean. I will get some great pic's for y'all. Thanks for the kind words. That photo's not to shabby either, for the panorama mode on the iPhone 5. Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, eeeeeeeese, lol.

The plan:
frame in the door on the left to close off the bathroom there (plumbing roughed in).

cut up the floor and lay tile. frame in the rest of the room and sheetrock it with drop ceiling. couch, chair, large TV on wall you can't see along with killer sound and a mini bar/mini fridge.

more to come

sweet.. that's what I want eventually... a basement for the cave. :)

I like the Defense Grid poster.

Someone else here had one like that, unless it was you from awhile ago :)

Yep, it was probably me. Love that freaking game! It was a gift last Christmas from a co-worker. All of the dev's signed it, pretty neat piece, something that I can't replace so I don't move it, lol.

Upgraded my subs for my room...Dual Rythmik FV15HPs, they are flat down to 12hz.. .love them.

why close the port. ( ports look very small for 15" ) and how come your center is so low to the ground.

1 Port is sealed for more extension. I enjoy that deeper dig while watching movies.

I never really thought about the center, it angles up slightly and I never notice the dialogue coming from a lower place...I might look into raising it up....

when we did training on building HT setups the teacher pounded it into our head center should be mid level to the ear, the higher the better..

You might get a bit better sound if you could make that a long flat wall, probably not easy for your setup but that corner on the left turns the dispersion..

Is that really thin wire on the fronts ? Where is the equipment ? how far away !

i won't pick apart the specifics of your system but i will say that you have one hell of a man cave. :)

I know it's not the best equipment, or the best room, or whatever else is wrong. But I like it. :)

I did take some advice and move up my center.

i love it! i actually showed my gf your earlier pic the other day and told her i get a setup like that if we ever get a house. she said ok as long as she gets a room to dedicate to her stuff. :p

Nice setups. How much did ya'lls projector cost? I been toying with the idea for gaming. If I can find a nice used one.

you can get in on the ground floor for cleap. got my 1280x800 projector with good brightness (poor light control in my living room) and an ok picture for $330 almost a year ago. i love it, game and watch tv on it every day. if you want something for your blurays and good quality i think youre looking at not much over $1000 on a sale for a good 1920x1080 projector. midrange 1080p can be had for ~600.

i cant recommend a projector highly enough. its so much more fun having a 10' picture than a 4' picture. :D i would spring for a nice projector, but im renting and just dont have the right setup to do a good projector justice right now. when i buy a house i will definitely have a ceiling mounted top of the line 1080p projector hooked to my htpc and xbox 720. :p
