I've been waiting for this expansion to go on sale for a while, this is the first time I've seen it this low.

Yes, it says Mac version, but as a steamworks game, the Mac version will automatically activate for whatever platform your version of steam is running on. I can vouch, as I bought on this exact deal, added the key to steam and it updated my Civ5 install immediately.

Civ5 GOTY is also available for $12.50 if you need the base game too.

A US customer simply means you need a shipping and billing address in the US. You aren't shipped anything.

It is actually because the game is "Steamplay" and not because it is "steamworks." Steamworks games are not inherently win/mac crossplatform.

I had a $5 credit and used that, scored this for 2.50! Downloading now on steam and I have the windows version of Civ5, all good!

Looks like they're out of keys. I already own it but I have a friend who wanted to pick it up... seems I noticed it just barely too late. :(
 
Dammit. I've wanted this game for a while. Hopefully they will go back in stock if not, maybe Steam will put it on sale for Thanksgiving.

I wonder if the $5 coupons are reusable. I got the THQ $10 pack the other day which also had the $5. I wouldn't mind at all if it's usable once per order, which I heard it might be.

Mnnnn hmmmm, been wanting this for a while now. Even though it even registers with steam as a mac version of the software, it went right to work updating Civ 5 on my windows 7 machine.
 
Thanks, just jumped on this when I found it was back in stock. I was upset at missing out on it on a $20 sale shortly after it came out, but this is even better! Glad I waited! I got the base Civ 5 game for $4 last year using one of these $5 off coupons. Hoping to grab something just as good in January with a coupon again.
 
This makes civ v what it should have been, a must!

great! saw this earlier and was disappointed it was "only" the mac version, but it worked like a charm on my pc. :)

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of jumping on this deal, but I have no idea what the "Editor's Choice" promotion is from amazon. I couldn't find other information online. Does anyone know how it works/how I find out what games are editor's choice/what games have been in past months?

Another reason to love Steam. I was so disappointed when I first clicked on the link only to find out they had run out keys, especially when I wasn't sure if Steam would have this title on sale for BF, but it seems they've renewed their stock. Since this is already at 75% off, I'll take it.

Thank you so much. I got it for two bucks because I had some free gift cards from Bing rewards. It activated and installed flawlessly.
