Generally the gaming community looks down on COD releases, since they usually try and sell the same game repeatedly.

black ops 2 doesnt look aweful to me, i am some what intrigued. interested to know what you guys think...

no matter what it'll prolly be better then medal of honor warfighter :X what a waste of 30$ :(
 
I payed top dollar for the first black ops, which forced me to start my upgrade cycle early because it sucked on dual core processors. Fuck this one...that whole PC release was a megafuckton disaster. When it reaches 5 bucks on Steam i MIGHT buy it...

i bought black ops 1 and i hated it so much. i think it got a total of 3 or 4 hours of gameplay out of me maybe less. and i was furious that i paid 60$ for it so i havent bought a COD since then.. i think i skipped one before that too but im not sure
 
Definitely not interested at this time. The market is saturated with better shooters both console and PC. I watched a gameplay video and was pretty disappointed. If it was a larger graphical/gameplay upgrade I'd be more intrigued.

And there are those that are stuck somewhere in the middle like myself. I'm def buying on release. CoD is what it is. It may not be "hardcore", but it's a blast nonetheless.

I wouldn't say COD players are "casual" necessarily...more like "narrow-focus". :p

I only buy the COD games if they are $5 or less.
 
I would buy it if the single player is longer than 5 hours and it supports multi monitor.
 
I would totally buy it for $25, maybe $30

i see the season pass thing going on a lot. thats basically like battlefield premium right? but for other games? not doing that shit again. ---
 
The problem is even though they included "pc features" such as "dedicated servers" and made it twice as good as a MW game, they still half-assed it. As I understand it the servers are ONLY hosted by them, and is there even a true server browser or is it all match making?

Why don't they just make the PC versions like a modern day counter strike:

It seems like a simple forumla:
-Friendly easy to use server browsers with the ability to host your own servers
-2012 graphics that would scale back to run on cards a few years old
-Good hitboxes / detection
-Fully configurable video / sound / control settings
-modifiable so user created levels and themes can extend the life of the game. If you need to sell your "premium" content just make sure its better than what Joe Modder can create in his basement and you have nothing to worry about.
 
Simple formula, but way too much effort/cost when they can just shit out the next iteration year after year, barely changing anything, and still have people (mostly console kids) buy it day one.
 
without old school server ftp control access, (which btw WAW by treyarch had and was the last to have and that makes it the last true PC MP FPS) they can cram it in their ass. For $25 i would consider it, after 6 weeks or so of being banned from every server for being accused of hacking and having nothing but shit servers to play on, (as usual with this series, if there's any servers at all) the game will basically die for me anyway. Plus it will be a hack fest as always with idiot 13 year olds with access to a servers "console" to push kick and ban commands without knowing their ass from their elbow anyway.
 
I never purchased the game, but I traded a DotA2 courier for it. Probably going to use the game and see if Blops 2 is all it's cracked up to be.

I'll buy it for Xbox. Probably not when it is first released, but a few weeks in. I play Black Ops occasionally, but mostly stick with BF3 on PC. But, to put it in perspective on the Xbox: I was excited when I had 4 kills in one game. My son had over 25 in the same game. I suck. But, it's fun and good to waste time on (multiplayer). I don't expect a lot from it, just simple multiplayer shoot-em-up.

For a real good time, it's PC BF3, usually with [H] servers. But, I can't really say anything bad about COD: BO. It's not a horrible game. Not the best, either, it's fun. So, I'll buy the second one when I get a chance. Not super hyped about it, just looking at it like an expansion pack and some new levels. No rush in buying it, but I do want to play.

Most men have unevenly-sized testicles. Whether this is also true of clowns has not been studied as far as I'm aware.
 
BF3 is still great for what it is but there needs to be some close quarters FPS too which we don't really have right now. Ideally I'd like to have one modern day realistic CQB game like Rainbow Six, and another more arcadey one like call of duty, but done right. Guess that's too much to ask.

I have not seen a large enough sample of clown testicles myself in order to make an accurate assessment :(
 
Last CoD I paid for was MW2 and that was sorta fun mostly due to bugs in the game (holo+FAL). There was zero and I mean ZERO support for the game after a few initial patches addressing commando range and I refuse to support a company that so quickly abandons it's products. I was gifted Black Ops and I played it for about 15 hours before deleting it forever. What a crap game.
 
im only really interested in the zombies mode
 
I'm tempted for the SP campaign and zombies, but $60 is way too much with other stuff like Hitman Absolution, Assasin's Creed 3, etc...coming out within the next 2 weeks
 
Id pick it up for $25 or less. Just watched the videos on steam and it looks like a stupid fast paced twitch shooter thats looking like it would be populated by retards.

I miss tactical gameplay. Give me a real rainbow six again. ARMA2 is still my game of choice and probably will remain until arma3.
 
It will really depend on the dedicated server situation. I've seen nothing that confirms that Australia is even getting any at this point.

a fool and their money is soon parted...or I should say their parent's money ;)
