2500k wont go past 4.5ghz no matter what...

just grabbed the evo and its running inside my case right now... im getting the same temps with my old 212 plus with my new evo with a push pull config... wow...

In testing the EVO is only slightly better. Your overclock is where it should be...

whats weird is that one of my cores (core 0) is 10 degrees cooler than the rest... and i swear i spread that thermal paste out as evenly as humanly possible lol

i give up... ill stay at 4.5ghz @ 1.28vcore been at it all day and its just too much of a hassle...

this is real weird... when i enabled spread spectrum all of a sudden im getting better stability... doesnt spread spectrum reduce stability?

It can vary, from board to board and from processor to processor. Spread spectrum had zero effect on my overclock.

FWIW i've had my h50 for about 3 years now with no problems. I'd go h100 vs h50 these days though.

200 mhz isn't worth it, stick with 4.5 and call it a day.

ordered a 200mm fan for my case... lets see if this changes the temps... itll be blowing directly down the cpu heatsink. hopefully it decreases the temps
