Show Your LCD(s) setups!!!

Didn't mean to preach to the guy he can tell me to go **** myself but I had to put it.

Here's my PLP setup long time waiting for this.

£600 for the 30" Rev08, £120 for the two 2007FP's RevA05L. Didn't too bad add me to the PLP club. Crappy camera phone I'll take some better pictures tomorrow. PC is a 3570K @ 4.8Ghz, 5870, 8GB Samsung Green, Asus Z77 ITX Deluxe. Need a new graphics card for sure as I'm getting 30fps in Saints Row 3 at 5322x1600 and 40FPS in Risen. Crysis is unplayable 20FPS but UT2004 is sick at 200+ FPS same with CS:GO.

Here is the size you get in photoshop.

Lol well you can't say that about me :p

Yea it amazes me how so many are so ignorant they spend a hundred plus on a soundcard then have something like turtlebeach or similar headsets, are those sennheiser Hd 650 I spy ?

Have 3 acer p201w's 1650x1080 on each. Anybody else think this resolution looks better than 3 1920x1080s? Same space vertically but a lot smoother during gameplay with a lot less irrelevant information on the edge of your screen.

Hey Guys, I'm new to this forum and thought this would be a good place to say hello and post a pic of my monitors. I'm running 3x HP ZR24w @ 5760 x 1200 on a GTX 670

1. The aeron is way more adjustable overall - you can adjust just about everything on this chair.

2. The aeron's mesh seat gives just enough and is comfortable enough while ventilating your ass. Your seat gets warmer quicker with the liberty. This makes a difference if you are sitting at your pc for hours at a time.

3. The liberty's seat cushion generates static like a mofo. Shock city whenever you get up out of that thing.

4. The liberty's armrests are a joke. They do not pivot in/out like the aeron, and you can only adjust them to 3 preset positions. I keep having trouble with the armrests running into the lip of my desk, and i have to adjust them all the way down (thus rendering them useless) to scoot my chair a bit closer to the desk because of the 3-presets only. The Aeron you can move the armrests higher/lower as you like, and lock them in place. The Liberty armrests also don't feel very sturdy. see no 5 below.

5. The liberty feels like it was made by a toy company when compared to the Aeron - much better build quality on the herman miller. We refreshed our office with Liberties in 2009 and already a lot of them are tearing up. Obviously most of us dont realize how expensive/"nice" these chairs are and don't treat them very well, but I see a ton of broken armrests/casters and a few seatpans.

6. The price. From what i've seen, a liberty costs just as much as the regular non-posturefit system Aeron, for a CLEARLY inferior chair.

If you are considering a Liberty, you should immediately disqualify it IMO. As far as im concerned, you'd be better off buying a 300 dollar office supply store chair, because in 3 years or less you are just going to be replacing the Liberty anyways after it tears up or because you hate it. It's better to be out 300 bucks as opposed to 700-900 or whatever the Liberty costs.

Thanks for all the opinions on this, I plunged and bit on the Aeron.

I tried out the Embody and the Aeron last week, and went with the Aeron chair cause it just felt comfortable first time sitting in it. The Embody was comfy but not as comfy as the Aeron straight off.

I ordered a fully loaded one that was open box of off allmodern.com, price came out to be $735 and they do offer the 12 year warranty on open box items so I'm satisfied so far. Time will tell how the chair holds up, but its way more comfy then the 3-5 officedepot/max chairs i've gone through in the past 10 years or so.

Hey Klrgoten,

Nice setup.

Wondering about your mousepad. Is that one huge long mousepad, if so what brand and where did you buy it?

I just got a new monitor. A Dell U2412M to go with my HP LP2475W. Myfirst multimonitor setup. I'm liking it.....

Very nice :)

How do you like image on the Dell vs the HP?

Thanks. I like the Dell, its got a nice panel. I got it for $330 at MC. Not bad at all, considering I paid $580 for the HP, that was 3 years ago. The HP being H-IPS is slightly brighter, so I had to color adjust. But now side by side they match well.

btw, the Dell is on the left, and HP is on the right.

Hey Mead,

Fritzz was right on, it is the Razer Goliathus XL edition... one huge mousepage. Got it as a prize from Razer @ E3

I seriously envy how many of are able to keep your wiring clean and uncluttered.

As for me, I just recently snagged a used U2711 for nearly the price of the Korean monitors, and added it to my setup. Currently running it alongside my reliable ZR2740w:

To anyone else out there who has experience with dual monitor setups, how do you think I should arrange them on my desk? Currently I am using my ZR2740w (left) as my primary display, and keep the U2711 (right) off to the side at an angle. It works fine but viewing content on the right most side of the monitor is a bit difficult. Would I be better off moving both monitors further to the left such that they are symmetric to my head instead?

IMO it depends on how much you use your secondary monitor Bass. If you are constantly using it, I would have them directly in front of you so you don't have to turn your head as much to look at both screens.

If you don't use the second one so much, I wouldn't touch it.

I keep my main monitor slightly to the left and second to the right so i just have to glance over. Using a 16x10 21.6" and 5x4 17". Once I get my dad's old monitor I'll replace my 17" and run that his in portrait view.

My old setup. I wish I was back on it, but on a short 4 month job in Germany, so everything's in storage.

My current setup. Kind of have to be mobile.

Doplh, which monitors do you have in the tri setup? Bezels look tiny

These are the Samsung s23a700d's, with custom modded bezels (following callsign vega's instructions on how to remove the bezels/casing)

here are some more pics and different angles of the monitor with no bezel.

and the stand w/ a tennis ball comparison of size. Is the WSGF Edition stand from www.wsgf.com. It can do up to 5 x 1 portrait or 3 x 1 landscape + 1 on top. It is an AMAZING stand, very good construction.
