I'm lvl 23 on my Outlander now, but I am still very curious about the Engie.

On a side note, anyone here have an Outlander with Poison Burst upgraded pretty high? I'm thinking of instead of putting points into Shadowling Ammo I'll go with Poison Burst as a passive for the extra DPS.

I have about 5 points so far into Poison Burst with my Outlander. Specializing in Shotgonnes with the passive as well. Let me just say, when you blast a group of mobs and they explode in poison, it really devastates them.

I am loving this game. Huge improvement in the game's "draw" over TL1 for me because you get to run around outside instead of being stuck in a dungeon nonstop. Berserker is also hands-down more fun than the devastator.

I am screwed.
I managed to stay off of it pretty much other than that 2 hour spree in anticipation of firing this game up this weekend with my good buddy, beer.

TL1 stole about 150 hours from me. I see TL2 doing the same thing if not more this time around.

Agreed.

This game is awesome so far :) I'm into act 3 with 25 hours gone so far, I'm looking for the robot parts at the moment.

Too fun.

Bigger patch today. It is harder to find the news for it in Steam now a days. Anybody know what the patch was for today?

lol...I just popped back in the thread if anyone else knew. If I find anything out shortly I'll report back

*Fixed farmable Gel phasebeast room so that XP gain isn't overblown

Hah, I went into one of those, and I think gained 2 levels! It was pretty tough on Elite with an Embermage.

Finally dug into this game today, and I have to say I am impressed. It feels like the spiritual successor to Diablo 2. The music in the game is superb. The PETS! I have a bulldog named George...... sending his ass back to town with his OWN inventory full of junk ALONG with a shopping list for pots/scrolls.....its glorious.

Looking forward to playing this on long flights. This game is how I expected Diablo 3 to play/feel from day 1. I am not sure Diablo 3 will ever shape up to compete although I am not giving up yet. For $20 I sure as hell got my monies worth with this game.

My only complaint about the game ( and it is minor ) is the graphics, which are no so much dated as I don't like the style.

Minor complaint, and not even worth mentioning along side the rest of the awesome ( embermage for preference ).

pretty disappointed in the way Runic nerfed battle standard for the berserker

oh well, guess it's time to roll another class or move onto another game...I'm thinking the later

X-Com: EU here I come

You're a funny guy. They didn't nerf Battle Standard at all. They just fixed it to where it is now working as it should have been.

It was a bug where the 4second mana regen was stacking in upon itself endlessly. L2P! ;-)

You fixed my ability to essentially cheat!!! Me leave your game now!!!! WAAAHHHH!!!!

This game is very lacking for quest content compared to BL2, TL2 all the same. After running over enemies in a vehicle, assasinating people with specific weapons, and getting 2 gangs to fight each other, crawling 2 levels into a randomly generated dungeon for the same kill quest is very flat and boring. I dont care about any quest (main or side) because its just go to this point, and clear the dungeon.

BL2 has no endgame content after playthough 2 and terramorphus, it comes to a dead stop. I havent beaten TL2 yet, but I'm sure there's more to do after beating the game, much more than BL2. I've had more fun progressing through BL2 than TL2 because of how fun the quests were so I might tire of this game well before I reach any endgame/newgame+ stuff.

Coming back from BL2, no respecs in TL2 is a game changer also. The fact that its available through a cheat means that they built in the functionality from the start, but actively decided to not put it in. I am not going going to reroll my class and spend another 20 hours leveling just to try another build.

Also, why do you have to jump through the hoops to change difficulty and reroll the world? It should be allowable on single player to change difficulty and to reroll the world, not spawn LAN games to set difficulty.

^^ The funny thing is that everyone treats TL2 as if it were a main-stream, $60 game. In truth it's still an indie game with limited resources, costing only $20. I haven't played BL2 (because the gameplay looks exactly like BL1), but it's not exactly a fair comparison to make.

I'm actually enjoying the hell out of TL2, truthfully, only 7hrs played and I've enjoyed it more than the 100+ I put into D3, which I only did out of god damn principal of paying $60 and waiting so long to play due to server problems.

However, I have a couple of questions about TL2:

• Roughly, without rushing, how long is the game?

• Are there different enemies on different difficulty levels?
Do mob sizes change as well?

• Lastly, and I'm confused about this... why are people stating that you cant respec your toon? Are people referring to the skills they're choosing?

In terms of stat points, there's a minus button for your points, so you can respec all your points at any time.

In terms of skills, it seems like if you just keep going back to the respec guy, it will continually go back in threes with every skill you invested in, until you get down to the skills before it. Rinse and repeat. I've already done it, unless there comes a point when you get high enough that it doesn't work?

Either way, I pick which skills I want carefully, so I know what I want to play.

Definitely curious about length of the game, especially since people are hitting lvl 100 etc, and if enemies change at harder difficulties, like different enemies or the size of mobs etc.

Fantastic game. Actually got me playing in-between Borderlands 2, and that's a shocker. I actually like the visuals in terms of effects, better than D3, more visceral, far more gore, especially when smashing things with the Engie with a massive hammer... fun as hell.

I'm sure others can give a better answer but i'm 15 hours in and just started act 3. I believe act 4 is a bit shorter so probably 20-25 hours game time for a single playthrough (i'm on normal difficulty and taking my time).

Yep, I'm 22 hours in and somewhere in Act 3 on Normal. I take my time and enjoy it. I never leave a stone unturned, a chest unopened, or a dead adventurer unrolled. ;)

I'm the same way. I'm at 11-12 hours and still in act 2. Probably almost done with it though.

Look who I found. :D

This game is like crack. I can't remember when I had some much satisfaction and enjoyment from a game....and for $20!!!!!

Still in Act 3. 23 hours of playtime on Normal. Still haven't gotten a Legendary. But knowing that I will get one is keeping me playing. And I probably won't even get one on Normal, but I'm still looking forward to my next play-through. Such a great game.

Oh my god would people just set the fucking password if they don't want other people in?!

i really need to start playing this game have had it for some time but left it on the back burner. and Easter Eggs really add to the gameplay value.

If I already put 44 points into str and 6 skill points into executioner, do you think this build is still viable for me? Don't really want to remake the char

A buddy of mine and me have been playing this for about a week now, about 4 hours a night, we started on Veteran difficulty. It's challenging at times, but not overly "pound your head against the wall" hard. With that, I'd have to say that this is the best value for your money game I've ever played in my life. Oh, and it kicks the proverbial shit out of Diablo 3. No contest, get this if you like that type of sub genre.

I just picked this up last night. I played TL1 extensively, but was working on Borderlands 2 at the time.

The lack of a respec, when combined with the fact that you have to put lots of points into a bunch of different skills with tiers, is incredibly draconian. Does anyone really like that? I had to alt-tab and google just to make sure I didn't ruin my berserker at LEVEL TWO. What is the reasoning behind this? I feel like they did it just because people were complaining that it was too easy to respec in Diablo 3, so they assumed everyone would love the complete opposite. Dumb.

lack of respec is a mistake to be honest. I have to roll a new char everytime i want to try out a skill tree?

eh...
