Hi
i wanna get the PSU and the case in subject and I have a question for you.

In this pic I've signed the Sata cable coming out from PSU.
But, if I connect the Sata 2 and 3 in my HDDs (or 1 and 2), how can I connect the Sata 1 (or 3) to DVD/RW on top of the case?

out of box this system doesn't work, right?
Is the PSU Sata cable too shorter to connect 2 HDDs (bottom) and 1 DVD (top)? Do you confirm? I need a SATA extension cable?

I have 1 HDD with an optical. It's quite a stretch. it _might_ work for two drives, but it was already hard enough stretching it for 1 drive. It also depends how your PSU is oriented... fan facing out or in, since the cables will either be on top or bottom.

I want to place the PSU with the cables on bottom (the fan on front of cpu).
So, do you confirm that this Sata cable can connect 1 HD on bottom of case and 1 DVD on top of the case without an extra adapter o extension?

Yes, I can confirm this because I have 1 HD + 1 optical connected to the same sata cable. I believe it is less of a stretch if you have the psu fan facing outward, but I have done it both ways before without issues.

One last thing: can you post some pics of the Sata HDD and DVD wiring as described by me from your configuration? just the Sata cable from: PSU > HDD > DVD.

nice PSU but in the smaller Q11 a SFX is better than ATX due to the lower space occupied.

Sorry, I misread your English; I thought that you had tried this configuration and the cable was too short, so you were asking how to make it work. I do not have that case, so I cannot confirm if the SATA cable is truly too short.

The Q25 has the same psu space as the Q11 because the hard drive hotswap bay. It's fully modular so you use what cables you need. Other option is to get the -G version of the SFX so you have a fully modular one and you can swap in the cables you need. Just make sure the short cable kit works with it. I went with the regular atx and the short cable kit though, works great.

Isn't the whole point of using SFX PSU in the Q11 to create extra room for a larger CPU cooler?

... But the ATX conversion bracket is not symmetrical, so it looks like you gain some room in one orientation, but if you flip the PSU around it's just as close to the mobo as a regular ATX psU. Am I correct?

The SFX to ATX adapter plate centers the PSU, so you only get around 1cm extra space for the CPU cooler, at the expense of dropping from a 120mm+ fan to an 80mm low profile fan. I personally wouldn't do it.

I agree, I'm using full-size ATX in my Q11.

Although I have seen a bracket adapter that pushes PSU flush with the case wall in one orientation. But in any case 80mm fan is too much whine.
