[H]ardOCP & ASUS GeForce GTX 660Ti DirectCU II Giveaway

DirectCU II cooler to keep the 660ti running cool under gaming and more importantly , running the GPU Folding@Home client for Team 33

Building a new system. Leaving behind my E6600 and SLI 8800's. This card is more powerful, uses less energy and has a good cost point.

I'm looking to upgrade the couple-generations-old video card in my home-office PC (a Radeon HD 5870) at some point and a GTX660 would fit the bill nicely. The DirectCU cooling of the ASUS card would be appreciated for its ability to help keep the system quiet and indeed most likely quieter than it is now.

Asus Video Card with a 3x quieter cooler would be a welcomed solution vs my two loud GTX 275's

My current video card can't handle some of the latest DX11 games without turning down most of the graphic settings as it is the bottleneck at the moment. I look forward to use a more cool, efficient and silent video card. In addition, I've always wanted to see PhysX run on my computer rig! I have not used a Nvidia video card in a long time and this would be a good opportunity for me to make the switch :).

This card will be immensely more quiet than my GTX 480. My daughter likes to sit on my lap and play games with her dad, but the 480 is a bit loud for her(she is quite young.) Putting this in a RV02-E should keep the noise down for her. :D My 480 is also an Asus, have had good luck with the brand so far.

Reduction in power usage while providing a better gaming experience in all my games.

Well first of all, it allows me to get rid of AMD/ATI junk currently in my system.
Secondly 2gb of memory will be a vast upgrade.
It would actually run cooler than my current card.
Have better/more output options.
And will allow more people to experience the awesomeness of being shot by me.

The DIGI+ VRM!!

"Alloy Power and DIGI+VRM provides better power efficiency and ability for overclocking. "

I'd overclock the heck out of that thing!! :DD

Getting this card would mean I'd get to buy a new case for my brother and let me use his SG05 :)

The card looks cool and runs cool. I need a good card for a quiet gaming system and this card should fit the bill. ASUS stands for quality and this card continues that legacy!

The Direct CU 2 will help keep it quiet and cool under loads. I want to overclock it and see how far it will go.

My girlfriend, Kate Beckinsale, told me about this contest and that I should enter it. She said the ASUS GeForce GTX 660Ti DirectCU II was a superior product and with 1344 CUDA cores and a
192 bit Memory Interface, I would get great DirectX11 frame rates to load her wallpapers faster.

My girlfriend (as mentioned- Kate Beckinsale) also said she would visit you Asus guys if I got selected. But not Kyle, cause you might steal her away with your superior manliness...

What's not to love. Insane graphics performance and a cooling solution from the factory that actually works! Plus, i'm thinking i might want to return to the green camp. Not sure i've been perfectly happy with my ATI card.

"Do you still like us?"

That's what the wife asked me yesterday, as I decided to put another hour into Bastion instead of teaching the kid to ride her bike.

And it made me think: Is this what my life has become? Relegated to playing indie games on my more and more obsolete AMD Phenom and HD 4850-powered system while my family takes advantage of the continuing great weather and fresh air?

No, says I. I should not be playing choppy Deux Ex: Human Revolution while the kids are out running through the sprinkler. I should not be suffering through lifeless physics in Batman: Arkham City while they jump on the neighbours' trampoline. I should not be dreading the release of Bioshock: Infinite (for fear of upgrading to a hot and loud graphics solution) when I could be out sharing ice cream on the porch.

Instead, I should really focus on making this PC great again. A powerful and efficient set of graphics and supporting hardware that won't require me to turn up the AC as I turn up the sound and drive all thoughts of the real world from this room. An affordable solution that will allow me to immerse myself in a true 3D Surround environment without having to worry about little details like education savings plans.

Can my family survive the amount of GPU Tweaking I plan on putting Borderlands 2 through? I'm willing to find out.

All of the ASUS GeForce® GTX 660 Ti DirectCU II features will smoke the pants off my ancient 7900.

Please, Please, four kids say you get no new computer stuffs.

It'd be an awesome start to updating my rig, currently running a G92 8800GTS. I've been looking at a new IB build, but would have to reuse the video card for awhile.

I'm currently using the GTX 560Ti and have been happy with the performance but the upgrade to the GTX 660Ti would enable me to swap cards without upgrading other hardware such as the power supply, thus saving me some bucks. Thanks much to ASUS and [H]ardOCP!

improve 3d performance while being cooler and quieter than my current card.

the directcu ii cooler looks to have great results as per the reviews.

I'm tired of standard coolers! I would love to have the quiet, efficient cooling on the ASUS 660 Ti!

All the memory (1502mhz) and CUDA cores (915/980mhz) would let me play games with AA for once! And if I won that mono I could run it using PCI-E 3.0!

Right now I have a standard GeForce GTX 280 which is hot, loud, old, and dx10. The Asus GeForce GTX 660Ti DirectCU II would be a huge improvement for me in several areas:

Noise: The Asus dcii cooler would be much quieter compared to the stock cooler that I currently use. This would allow me to hear more of my games and less of the videocard's fan.

Temperatures and Power Consumption: The GTX 280 is known for being hot and power-hungry, so again the Asus GTX 660Ti would be a huge improvement. Less heat means less noise and a longer life-span. Plus, the reduced power consumption means that I could easily add a second someday for SLI without having to upgrade my 750 watt power supply. Lower temperatures also mean that you can safely overclock to squeeze that last ounce of performance out of your system.

Performance: The Asus GTX 660Ti not only performs much better than my GTX 280, but it also has dx11 support. I really enjoy seeing tessellation as well as the other features that dx11 brings in the latest games. A higher performance gpu means being able to turn up the eye-candy and more vram lets you turn up the AA/AF while still maintaining silky-smooth frame rates.

More Displays: My current GTX 280 has two dvi ports and a very outdated s-video port. The Asus GTX 660Ti has two dvi ports, one hdmi port and one displayport. This means that you can easily connect multiple monitors and even hook your pc up to your hdtv if you want. Having all the latest connections if a big plus for me.

So as you can see, winning the Asus GeForce GTX 660Ti Direct CU II would be a big improvement for me. I've heard great things about the Asus Direct CU II quality and would love to experience it first-hand. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a great card!

The 660ti will be a great replacement for my aging 6950 DCII, with the added benefit of superior power efficiency and thermal management. I'm probably going to pull the trigger on one regardless of this drawing :D

The ASUS 660Ti will not only benefit my gaming but also my film making education and aspirations by enabling acceleration in Adobe Premiere Pro. With the high core count, same as the 670, it would be able to accelerate my work flow quite significantly! Of course being able to keep my production environment quiet while still giving me the horsepower I need is the major benefit of the DirectCu cooler from ASUS.

However the biggest benefit is that it would allow me to build a second computer out of the old parts for my friend. She has been interested in gaming but without the means to get into. With this giveaway from ASUS I would be able to build her her own computer to get her into gaming. The best thing about this hobby has always been introducing new people to it.

As with everyone else here, seeing a shiny new Asus Mobo in my system along with a 660ti DC II graphics card would be hot. Not gonna lie, I'd probably spend more time tweaking it than playing it though.

The GeForce GTX 660 TI is one of the best video cards on the market and with the improvements ASUS made to this card with the DirectCU cooler making the card run 20% cooler and 3x quieter, what else could you ask for.

I'm a cooling nut and have always loved Asus' impressive units. Of course, there's the clocks, the low power usage, but really, the card just looks friggen badass. It would look even BETTER in my P-67 Pro (asus of course).

Love the look of the new ASUS GeForce GTX 660Ti DirectCU II. The DCU II is definitely the most impressive feature. I mean, who wouldn't want their card to out-preform the competition while staying cooler and quieter?

Overclocking performance, lower temps, and a quiet rig for once.
Plus it would be a huge upgrade from my current GPU.

The ability to run a card at its full gaming potential, while staying quiet and cool, thanks to the high end nickel plated heat-pipes and dual dust proof double sealed fans. This provides the gamer with the confidence of reliability for those marathon gaming sessions, putting a smile on any [H]ard gamers face.
With Asus binning this card and releasing it at such a high clock level right out the box, the gaming performance is guaranteed to be top notch. Thanks to the back-to-back design implementation of the high performance capacitors, providing a high level of power directly to the GPU, the card will provide even greater levels of O/C ability using Asus GPU-Tweak software.
All of this combined allows the ASUS GeForce GTX 660Ti DirectCU II to push higher frame rates and higher resolutions at a lower power and noise level then ever before. What more could a gamer want.
