According to Business Insider, the Facebook Android app is so bad, Zuckerberg is forcing his employees to use it. Hah! Now that is funny! :)

Facebook management realizes its Android app is subpar—and believes that the only way employees will take fixing it seriously is if they have to deal with its issues day in, day out. It's a practice called "dogfooding."

That's actually a good way to motivate your team - making them sleep in the bed they made.

Now if we can get some game developers to play their own games before releasing it...

This made me laugh. I don't use the app because it's that's piss poor. Then again after I found that the app data mines your GMail, in order to match e-mail addresses with FB users so they can put them in the "Do you know this person" window, I kicked it to the curb. Hell I don't even use FB for much anymore. Never really used it in the first place. Only got it to pass along pictures of the kid to family and friends quickly.

Yeah, at least FB seems to be doing something smart. Won't help that sinking stock price though. ;)

PFffttt Hah!!!...Your asking too much of the games industry.
 
I use it once in a while. Seems to lag a bit when on 3-4g networks but on wi-fi it works fine. Or maybe I don't use it enough to experience the alleged horribleness of it.
 
they just had a big permissions change that required manual updating, so sick of it.

i would leave facebook forever if it wasn't such a great portal to my family scattered across the country
 
The Facebook android app REALLY drains your battery also. I uninstalled it months ago...
 
The seem to have just fixed the iPhone app so I can actually load pages now. Hopefully the do the same for Android.
 
They upgraded the iPhone Facebook app today. I love how it feeds comments live now, and it runs so smoothly, but I am seriously annoyed at the removal of landscape mode. I HATE typing on my iPhone in portrait mode!
 
the android facebook app only works when i'm on wifi... almost as if it requires massive bandwidth to work properly...
 
I lose 4G service every single time I load the Android FB app. My signal is restored as soon as I exit the app. Every. Single. Time. I rarely use FB, but I have tested it multiple times each day over the last few weeks to make sure I wasn't losing my mind by placing blame on the app.
At least it doesn't happen when I load up MLB At Bat, that would absolutely ruin my day...
