Thanks for the chance to win. I would love to get an upgrade over my current video card, since it's over 3 years old now and could use the update. I definitely see an advantage in power management (the 6-phase Super Alloy should make overheating a non-issue) and the sheer power of the GTX 660 Ti would make a huge difference in gaming. I haven't played many PC games in the last few years, instead relying on my Xbox to make up the difference. This would give my computer a chance to really show me what a PC can do again. Thanks for the chance.

the absolute best thing about the ASUS GeForce GTX 660Ti DirectCU II is its low noise profile COMBINED with kick as top performance! Second to none!
 
The ASUS GTX 660ti DirectCU II would be a great upgrade for my 2700k machine that is still rocking an old 4870 :( my current gpu is a HUGE bottleneck and makes it hard to play current games on decent settings. This card looks amazing and will fit right in with my ASUS Maximus IV Extreme! I need this in my system to play up to date games and to come back to Nvidia! No better way to do it then with ASUS!
 
I do most of my gaming in 3d Vision now, so playable framerates at 1920x1080 take a little extra horsepower compared to my old 1440x900 2d experience.

The ASUS GeForce GTX 660Ti is efficient, fast, and a lot quieter than my old GTS 250 by another manufacturer.

These features will make the difference when lined up with 40+ other live drivers in iRacing's Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge series. Thanks to the [H] and to ASUS for sponsoring this contest!
 
Considering what other video card makers provide from reference- I find listing the comparative specs between them a moot point.

The real reason I'd pick an ASUS is because of the intangibles and the following list I've gleamed from previous ASUS product ownership:

---#1: The several video cards & mobos of theirs I owned didn't look or feel like just another re-branded reference board
---#2: The card board models didn't look like someone tried to cut corners with heatsinks, fans, or space between the circuitry (which sadly cant be said when compared to numerous non-reference "performance" variations from others)
---#3: And lastly, I trust ASUS as a holistic manufacturer- I've owned not just their cards but laptops and the Eee PC that I prefer to travel with over my work-supplied Lenovos, both because of form factor, and surprisingly unexpected better performance from the Eee. *** Eee PC + STEAM Offline = best flights you can hope for. ***


The only thing I can't tell you about is ASUS support or warranty-- never had a reason to call, and I've overclocked, sometimes overvolted, and BIOS update flashed almost every card I ever bought from them.

This however notwithstanding the fact that I'm currently running an ATI board- but hey, that's why I'm here.

Its the price/performance point that I find most appealing about the card. "Bang for the Buck" is the name of the game.

The 660Ti Direct CU would allow to complete my upgrade from an old 460 to a modern GPU. The cooler alows for adjustability so my computer can run quiet for surfing and media and the ramp up to provide the cooling needed for gaming.

So, since this is based on our writing skills some marketing expert is going to win :(
 
It will make the wife happy when I upgrade my old ATI card and give it to her in a crossfire setup. That is until she finds out I have this new card in my rig....
 
Great looking card for those of us that like to show off our components! Also one hell of a good cooler on that sucker so you can OC to your hearts content. Would love to rock the Green Team in my case with this card!

The DirectCU II Thermal Design should help my secondary rig stay quiet and cool under most use.
 
Quiet and cool design. really want to try games with the Physx capabilities. Really want to overclock this card.
 
Wow!! Since I retired several years ago, my 12 year old system could seriously use an upgrade. P4P-800E Asus mb with an ATI 4600 AGP vid card, P4 3.2 oc'd to 3.6. Long time fan of [H]. In fact, many moons ago Kyle, when we were still playing around with '486' cpu's and oc'ing them I sent you several 'blister' packs of home made Thermal compounds to try. Some with Graphite mixtures and other concoctions with fine Carbon particles....:p

DL'd CS-GO and trying to play it again but at 16-20 fps I die frequently :rolleyes: So I sure could use a major upgrade, thanks.
 
Would love to get my Vid card upgraded to something more ROG with the whole setup I am currently running. :D

Running a ROG Crosshair V with a FX8120 oced to 4.5ghz on a DIY water cooling setup.

Would be a great upgrade to the current card I am running which is an AMD 6950.
 
The BIG cooling, the silence... few things more annoying than the whine of a noisy fans.
Plus it looks like a Ferrari.
 
Better efficiency for my HTPC...currently running a 7970 which is a bit of overkill. The 660 Ti DirectCU II is cooler, quieter, and uses less juice while giving me about 80% of the game performance of my 7970.
 
I have an old AMD card that sounds like a pipe organ mounted to a jet engine in the middle of a hurricane. I'm enthused about the DirectCU tech combined with the Super Alloy components; hopefully, I'll be playing Borderlands 2 with PhysX on and not have to put earplugs in!
 
For one, the card looks badass. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the cooling which is a huge plus - lets you know you have extra room to push an overclock. I just want to play Skyrim maxed out.

I just got married, and I was planning on buying a new card before we combine checking accounts :D If you pick me you might save a marriage :D
 
Because a 5830 on a 30" monitor just doesn't cut it. The reduction in power/temperatures will be a welcome change as well.
 
Well, according to Techpowerup.com, the board that their 660Ti is based on is very similiar to the 670, which is the only card to ever get a perfect 10.0 review score, which means a LOT. Similarly, HardOCP gave the 670 a Gold Rating. I KNOW that if Kyle and his reviewers give something a Gold rating, it's something special. And if I can get GTX 670 performance with ASUS' 660Ti at a fraction of the price, lemme tell you: that's freaking amazing. Plus: four active displays?! Dual fan cooling for quiet cooling both during idle and at load?! GTX 670 performance for that low of a price? Holy crap :)

Not to mention my GTX 260 is getting a little long in the tooth, but supporting a family of four on a single income doesn't give you a lot of money to spend on upgrading your video card :p

Hmmm, since i'm still on my 8800GTS, everything about this card would be an upgrade for me, but from an enthusiast stand point, i'm gonna say the Cooling is the best part. Enthusiasts like to overclock, which creates a need for better cooling. The cooler allows for lower temps meaning higher OC's. The bonus aspect of the cooler is the quieter noise levels.
 
Ability to sport amazing framerate at skyrim at a resolution higher than 1080p!
 
Because who doesn't want a Video Card made by a manufacturer that takes its name after Pegasus? Asus has cornered the market on aesthetics, performance, and a general "must have it" desire with consumers through their attention to detail for sometime now (doesn't hurt that their color scheme of black/red in their high performance products seems to match my case design :p). This video card would replace a tired old 5770, while it has matched my color scheme needs, has fell quite behind in that "gotta have it" desire, and bragging rights with my friends (i.e. I'm way behind). DirectCU II's are a hot commodity every time they're released to the vendors, and are hard enough trying to buy when you're spending your own money. I'd love to be sponsored gpu wise through the [H] and Asus :D
 
Not entirely for me... but it would improve my gaming experience.

My wife has been eying a few games that I have been playing. I'd love to pop this in her rig so we can play together. Coming from what she's currently using (GTX260)... it would put her in the same realm I'm in at the moment. Having her rig pull less power, while scoring more FPS would be a definite plus as well.

well I was going to copy someone else's response but I just would like to have more efficient components...my cave gets stupid hot all summer and a directCU card would definitely help with allowing me to actually use my desktop during these hot months...also I always wanted a ROG anything and getting a significant performance boost in dx11 + mobo support for current gen SSD/CPU!
 
Phys-x and higher performance than my current 6870HD.

IT also has dual-fan cooling to keep the temps low, avoiding higher temps and allowing for longer component lifespan, for more reliability
 
Speed of sound, no - speed without sound. My current cards screams like a Banshee when I max out game settings. I need more speed with less sound and this card fits the bill. 2 GB of GDDR5 on board doubles my current card, which is also desperately needed. Not to mention, Asus stands for quality and it will look so damn pretty in my case! ;)
 
With a free video card I could then purchase a 2nd identical video card and finally run SLI and then start gaming with a multi display setup. w00t!
 
I've used ASUS motherboards for a long time but haven't had the chance to use the Direct CU II cards.

I have used MSI Twin Frozr cards since the GTX 260 and often recommended them, but they are not without problems.

If ASUS` Direct CU II is as top-end in video card engineering as I hear, trying one may very well convert me from MSI.
 
I'd like the card for it's heat to performance ratio. And to be up to date with the technologies from nVidia and the extra cooling from ASUS.
