Before anyone says "how ****ing much?!" I'd like to point out that these are very high end broadcast/mastering monitors and the price is absolutely typical of these types of display. If you take into account inflation these are 'cheap' relative to the old Sony 28" 1000 line CRT mastering monitors and previous generations of 1080p broadcast monitors.
This post is just for fun and to show people that desktop size IPS panels actually exist in the Quad Full HD resolution of 3840 × 2160.
On the link below there are a four products, DM-3428 which is the 28" IPS model, and the 32" DM-3432 which is listed as having a "New mode2" LCD panel. Not sure what this means, but I'm guessing it could be the same panel Viewsonic are using in a similar 32" QFHD display that will: "cost about the same as a car."According to this page the 28" IPS has an MSRP of around $50000, while the 32" is $45000. I would speculate that the 32" is cheaper because is some kind of VA panel from AUO.
