UT 3 !!

Some of you are so stuck on the feeling of nostalgia that you won't even give another game a try. The graphics in UT3 shit all over the graphics of UT2K4 how is that even a debate? UT3 was tight. I don't play it really anymore but aside from the double jump I don't really see how they are all that different

Because gameplay > graphics.

No you are wrong.

UT 99 was/is still the best. The gameplay, the music, the trash talking bots, the levels, everything. The best.

Alot of people playing it? More people play UT 99 than UT3?

Not really if you play at 6-10pm maybe but try finding a game any other time. The most I've seen on a server in 3 months is 12 people which is like a miracle and lasts for like a total of 5 minutes. I work nights and from 8am-1pm often all North American servers are empty, ALL of them. Sometimes you'll get the odd noob or some foreigner with a high ping but that's it. I guess if you play greed you'll find more players but personally I hate that shit (titan vehicles.. lame!) And to think I remember a time when I'd have to spectate games and wait for people to drop out to play often 16 player DMs and 20+ TDMs.. not anymore.

There aren't too many people more die hard than me and I'm seriously thinking about going back to playing Starcraft 2. At least I can find a game on my schedule.

I said UT, not UT3.

Nexuiz is $3 today on steam, and there's also a free weekend this weekend. Maybe fit the UT/Quake mold for some of you. :)

No need since you can use essentially the same game with a different source for free. But that is another game entirely from UT****

I agree with you that he is wrong...completely wrong. But for me I have to go with UT2K4. I'd consider it a masterpiece. I call it the tactical arena shooter, there's just so much involvement goin' on with it, the amount of things you can do in-game. Completely unrestricted and unlimited types of combos with weapons and dodging, its a very satisfying feeling to play (when you're winning of course :p) And the art style blows ut3's dark and gritty environments, with its overused same floor tile texture used in every ( tiny, claustrophobic) map, out of the water.
