That wedge mouse looks sort of uncomfortable to use. I guess I'd have to actually try one for a few hours, but to get one with a matching wedge keyboard, you'd have to spend a lot of money.

So MS is not only killing off the desktop in favor of their new App Store OS, but now they want you to buy a Wedgie from them? :D

They just made themselves look stupid by even coming out with ....the wedge.

Don't knock it till you tried it....

Looks can be deceiving....

Don't judge a book by its cover....

All of those sayings come to mind but man with something that odd looking it should have a picture or a short video of someone using it or something......

Pretty sure MS didn't made this on a glance-and-go basis. Yeah, don't knock it until you've tried it. I expect [H] to make a good, long review on these.

HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHA

I thought the selling feature of Win8 was the touchscreen functionality. What's the point of Win8 keyboards & mice?

...oh, that's right. Touch screens suck for desktop computer use and you still have to use a KB & Mouse!

Microsoft has a habit of spending a lot of time and energy on hardware products that fall catastrophically short. See: Microsoft Touch mouse.

Sure, they probably spent time developing these things. Doesn't mean they're going to be any good.

Basically, not happy with having completely bent their UI over and ass-fucked it into irrelevance in Windows 8, they're now going after their associated hardware, trying to force use of touch interface by making I/O devices that are actually worse to use than the touchscreen interface!

Bravo guys! Bravo!

*Facepalm*

The 2 keyboards look OK, but the other shit is just that. MS, please don't be like (cr)Apple!

Microsoft also produced the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 and successor Habu, the former of which is legendary among the gaming scene. They also have the Sidewinder X6 keyboard among many other quality products. Microsoft understands ergonomics.

The Wedge KB doesn't look too bad, but of course, as a gamer I'd never personally use those any of those products. Although I'd really like to see how that Wedge mouse feels and functions. Looks like a cheese wedge; it's pretty unique.

the wedge mouse is some sort of touch pad that forced them to use a flat surface that is my guess. MS does know ergonomics and looking at all other devices they have made I cant think of any like that so I have to assume it is a hardware limitation.

The curved keyboards are nice, but the problem I found is, then you cant sit down and type fast on anyone elses keyboard and good luck getting a laptop you like with one, so I gave up on ergonomics and will settle for surgery and cancer for other choices.

The ergo keyboard is basically the Microsoft Bluetooth 6000 with a few buttons swapped around. Home, insert, and end on the new one in place of volume controls. It's an improvement imo as you have to use the fn key for home, insert, and end on the old one. My main work keyboard is a MS Bluetooth 6000 and having to use the fn key for those buttons is one of my biggest complaints about it.

Notice that the key word in most of the descriptions is mobile? They're trying to jam the whole touch interface down our throats, and I'm sick of it. This junk is as full of fail as Windows 8.

The wedge mouse doesn't look too bad. I've wanted a large trackpad after playing with the Wife's MBP, just for two finger gesters and it looks possible on that plastic cheese slab.

Wow. Cool. A bunch of peripherals I won't buy to go with the OS I won't buy. Good job, Microsoft!

The Wedge keyboard could be interesting, but I first need to see if it suffers from the #1 sin of compact keyboards.... The miniature right shift key.

If it does, no hope I'll ever buy one.

That wedge crap looks like something Apple would put out.

This from the same company that makes such comfortable and functional ergonomic keyboards? Say it aint so Microsoft.

I'm sure Apple thought releasing a hockey-puck mouse with their iMac was a good idea also.

I love Microsoft's Wireless Comfort 5000 keyboard and mouse set. I use them at home and work (except my game computer, I use a Logitech VX Revolution). The subtle curve is just right and the mouse is large enough to fit my entire hand, and the range is awesome for my media center, and it's blue laser works on any surface, including your lap and couch and blanket.

I'm not sure where Microsoft is going with these Wedge product. I'd be reluctant to give up any keyboard with a numeric pad for the Wedge. It just looks like Microsoft is trying too hard to be aesthetically pleasing rather than design their products with practicality in mind.

So, since you are trying to make my desktop act like a cellphone, you have to create specific keyboards and mice to mimic the motions required to work a cellphone?

So, then, my present keyboard and mouse are not Win 8 compatible...

There you go again, making things incompatible, then wonder why people won't upgrade...

BS, your present keyboard and mouse will work just fine if you like the UI or not or if you're finicky to use them.

The wedge looks good for wedging our door shut to keep my daughter in her room when she's supposed to be napping.
