woot your off

I haven't done a woot off in quite some time, same ol' stuff? (refurb computer, mice, probably a tripod, camera, etc)

pretty much. they are getting too big and doing way more than the single item per day crap.

i dont need another two dollar screaming monkey but we'll see what other landfill garbage they put up for grabs thats now new and improved with a brush up and sheen

btw a few of their writers were damn funny back in the day, last couple years it just seems like a few flunkies trying to be funny.

i like deals on wine least once a month there is kick ass deals on them. but as far as electronics/t-shirts/toys goes they is not really any deals on there nowdays.

The main problem is the deals are barely lukewarm anymore, even during a Woot-Off.

I would say Amazon buying them up made them start sucking, but the truth is they started sucking long before that. Only difference now is I have to pay tax on Woot orders.

Only thing I will say in defense of Woot is their nice Razer peripheral deals (mice, etc).

I stopped buying from them recently. When I order things, it was taking them a week before they even shipped! That goes for deals AND shirts.

Yes, their standard shipping is slow; so buy with that in mind. Just bought a couple shirts since we can wear stuff like that on Friday. Will keep an eye on the main woot site for the rest of the day; but since the Steam sale put a pretty good hurting on my wallet it'll have to be an AMAZING deal to get me clicking. :p

I find it a little ridiculous that Woot is now owned by Amazon, who has more or less amazing shipping policies, but Woot still has the same crappy wait times for shipping.

Their shipping time isn't that bad actually, its the "processing and handling" time that sucks. unless you get something shipped by smartpost... that is slow as dirt.

I dumped woot after they ripped me off. They sent half a package deal promised a propietary wifi for the deal and never shipped it. Then after a thorough beating in their forums they denied it. Then after the chargebacks hit they offered an totally incompatible device. Fark them. Scammers.

I personally haven't had any issues with them but like others have said, their shipping leaves a lot to be desired. My only [minor] gripe with them, is that they recycle a fair bit of their deals.

I don't know how many Roomba floor vacuums or Dyson (animal) vacs a person needs, but apparently quite a few if they keep coming up.

I think (aside from a long time ago when the single Woot site had really good deals), Woot has grown nicely, I like the multiple deals and sub-woots, and Sellout Woot (sort by freshness) is nice. I constantly check that, techbargains, and slickdeals.

Dude, you can do anything at Zombocom. The only limit, is yourself.

Aha! Went to school with the kid who did the intro. Was never a dull moment in a class with him.

Haha. Speaking of Amazon:

Please note that for Super Saver Shipping, your order will be delivered within 5-8 business days. We process and ship your order in the most cost-efficient way possible so we can pass the savings on to you in the form of free shipping. This means that we’ll optimize our fulfillment of your order by taking a little longer to ship out if necessary. However, this doesn’t mean that we’ll hold on to your order for any particular reason, and we won’t delay shipping if that means we’ll miss the delivery promise we’ve given you.
