Google Adds Calculator to Search Results

meh, i'll still type them in the search bar as it is faster than clicking the buttons in the calculator

I'm old school, I still use the MS calc and notepad regularly. But I love Google's units calculator, like when you search for mm to inches. That's snazzy!

The Google graph function is much more interesting.

Just type the following on the search box and have a smile:

graph for 2*sqrt(-abs(abs(x)-1)*abs(3-abs(x))/((abs(x)-1)*(3-abs(x))))(1+abs(abs(x)-3)/(abs(x)-3))sqrt(1-(x/7)^2)+(5+0.97(abs(x-.5)+abs(x+.5))-3(abs(x-.75)+abs(x+.75)))(1+abs(1-abs(x))/(1-abs(x))),-3sqrt(1-(x/7)^2)sqrt(abs(abs(x)-4)/(abs(x)-4)),abs(x/2)-0.0913722(x^2)-3+sqrt(1-(abs(abs(x)-2)-1)^2),(2.71052+(1.5-.5abs(x))-1.35526sqrt(4-(abs(x)-1)^2))sqrt(abs(abs(x)-1)/(abs(x)-1))+0.9

Or just type any old algebraic expression and it will return a graph. Try a simple quadratic and see what happens: 7x^2 + 5x - 2

I use google all the time for quick calculations, and you don't need the calculator.

Just type whatever in the search box, such as 3+6+9+8+2 and hit enter. The results page will show the result.

definitely wouldn't actually type anything out on that.. it would be cool if they could somehow allow you to type numbers into it from your keyboard though.

I use it all the time. May come in handy for sometime when I am away from my calculator. I use the conversion tool ALL THE TIME. I build RC models and most plans come in imperial measurements but I build in metric. That is the scientist in me.

they should also add a clock because I don't have enough devices that already show the time.

I still use my ancient TI scientific for calculations, it also does functions and programs in BASIC.
