So after years of playing WoW, and with GW2 just around the corner, I have decided that I want to get a MMO mouse. The extra buttons are just too much of an advantage to ignore at this point. I've narrowed my choices down to the following, but I would love some input from those that have used them in the past. Feel free to recommend something else, but please keep it under $100.

Razer Naga- my only issue here is that I had clicking problems with a Deathadder in the past, and it is far from an uncommon thing with Razer products

Corsair m90- build quality looks to be fantastic, but I've heard terrible things about the software. Have they fixed the push-to-talk issue with the mouse yet?

Logitech g600- newest mouse of the group so there's not a lot online about it yet. If anyone has any experience with it I would love to hear it.

Thanks in advance!

I have a Razer Naga I think a bit over a year now. I like it and use it for FPS mainly since I stopped playing MMO. Pretty useful for BF3 since I used the macro function to move jump on my mouse like I normally do and couldn't bind any actions to mouse when the game first came out. Also useful for Diablo 3 since you can just change any of the 10 keys on the side to play one handed. Never had any problems with it and with any of my other Razer products.

I also have a Naga and I like it a lot, I've had it since they launched. However, with the Logitech coming out I'd probably take it over the Naga because I've heard it's larger. The Naga, despite all the buttons, is actually a pretty small mouse.

The Razer Synapse software has been trouble free and extremely convenient due to all your configs being saved on the "cloud".

funny, i was just in this exact situation. wanted a few more buttons on my mouse for wow and soon, gw2. i ordered my corsair m90 on sunday during the newegg promo (deal was listed in the hot deals section) which came out to $44.xx after $10 rebate, promo code, free shipping, and tax. they've got it on sale for the same price right now but instead of a promo code, the mir is $20 instead of $10. i literally just got done setting it up.

i had just went to best buy last night and seen the logitech g600. with the way its packaged, you can hold and see how the mouse feels in your hand and click on the gkeys as well as the 3rd mouse click. one thing i instantly noticed is how good the side keys felt. the click of the keys feels really good. not too sure how i feel about that third ring finger mouse click button though. although that effectively doubles the amount of side keys from 12 to 24. as i said earlier, i had already bought the m90 and dont need or want that many side keys. aesthetically, the m90 also looks better to me (and matches my k90 :D).

my initial impression on the m90 is overall very good. build quality feels great. side keys also feel good, but not as good as the g600 imo. there is ONE side key (forward most bottom key) that i think doesnt feel good at all. the pressure/travel distance required for activation is A LOT more than the rest of the keys. dpi +/- buttons are a little out of reach, no big deal for me since i never use them. there is a rough grip like texture on the right side of the mouse that is not present on the left side where your thumb rests, i wish they had put it there too. this is the first non logitech mouse ive owned in over 12+ years and overall im pretty happy.

Are you able to bind push-to-talk to any of your mouse keys with the M90? I read several places that said PTT wouldn't work with the mouse because the firmware didn't handle holding a button down correctly (by correctly, I mean the way every other mouse does...since that apparently works...lol). Also, what is your opinion on the software? Reviews seem to say it's good, while users basically seem to universally say it's terrible.

Pretty much this.

I've had some firends buy it as well after seeing mine. Keep in mind if you've never used one they take some getting used too, but after some time with it, you'll never go back.

I'll throw another vote to the NAGA. I used to use a basic 2 button/scroll mouse for raiding in MMO's, and once I switched to the Naga, I frankly have no idea how I managed to play without it. It does take some time to get used to, but once you do you'll wish you'd bought it sooner.

As for the people saying they had software/hardware issues, I've never had any with mine, and I'm pretty hard on it.

Also, I don't see why you couldn't bind a PTT key to it, since you can set the keybindings to anything you want. I personally have the side keys bound to "p [ ] l ; ' , . /" instead of the numpad so I can use shift/ctrl/alt modifiers. Just moved the stuff that was bound to those keys to the numpad. Everything works great.

Coming from a Logitech Performance MX, the size of the Naga (Molten, for me) was a pain to get used to early on. I definitely like mine now, though, and would throw in a vote for it as an MMO mouse.

i never read that issue about not being able to bind a ptt button but after you mentioned it i looked it up. and sure enough, it is an issue. i moved my ptt button off of the mouse and onto the keyboard once i got it, but after you mentioned that i tested it out myself. the software was a pain at first but after watching a yt tutorial its simple enough. the software is definitely not that terrible, but its no where near great. i googled for answers on the ptt issue and there are links on a few forums to solutions from corsair's own forums...but the thread on corsair's forum is GONE. tsk tsk corsair.

what happens when binding a key for ptt is that when you hold down the assigned ptt button, the software translates it to pressing the button several times. for example, i assigned one of the buttons on the mouse as ` for my ptt key. if pushed once it would be `, if held down it would look like ````````````````````. so i dont know how this will get resolved, or if it ever will. but its definitely something to note if you like your ptt key on your mouse.
