Newegg MSI TF3 HD7950 $309.99 after MIR + AMD 3 game coupon

Same deal direct from Amazon for those with CA sales tax.

It's not the same deal.

Amazon is charging $319.99 after $20 MIR but the big difference is Amazon is NOT forking out the 3 game AMD bundle that is valued at $99.

NE is a much better deal on this one IMO.

Since I have 2 of the 3 games, I would rather save the $25 in tax.

I guess you can pay the taxes at the end of the year.

I think Amazon is keeping track of tax records now for when you file your taxes at the end of the year.

Wish I hadn't ordered that XFX 7950 now, would much rather have the TF3 cooler.

Are these still modable to 7970s?

What do you mean "modable"?

They do have a reference design HD7970 PCB but the gpu itself is a HD7950 and I'm not sure if there is a way to flash it to beome a fully operatinal HD7970 GPU.

I was thinking of getting the 7850, should I just spend the extra $100? Think it's worth it?

Can 7950s be flashed to 7970 GHz Ed?

In the past certain HD6950s were able to be flashed to HD6970 specifications and with a reference HD7970 PCB I think that there is a possibility to flash some of the newer HD7950s to HD7970 but so far nobody that I know of has done it...

But there is one HD7950 known as a Fire Hurricane A795 in China that can be flashed to HD7970. I think the BIOS of that particular card may be the key to flash other HD7950s to HD7970.

I hope a flash is possible. It would be nice to get a little more performance out of a HD7950 but I can't complain because my HD7950 is stable with 1.22v 1300/1600.
