Burger King - Original Chicken Sandwich only $1.04 thru 7/1

Nothing against the post but BK just rips me apart. Seems the older I get the less processed food I can eat. Good deal though.... I use to love their italian chicken sandwich but i don't think they've offered that in some time now.

Is there enough chicken in their sandwich to call it chicken? Last time I had one it tasted like "miscellaneous parts that nobody would ever eat".

Make sure to order it fresh with pickles added, makes it so much more palpable.

Seriously, they probably lobby to influence what can be legally called chicken and beef. Not just BK also.

best fast food chicken sandwich out there... though i normally never eat fast food, might have to fit it in tomorrow haha.

Whataburger is by far my favourite chicken sandwich. I'm fairly certain the grilled chicken sandwich is an actual, unprocessed, grilled chicken breast too. Who would have thought to do that?! ;)

i went and got 4, save some for later. they're pretty good to be honest.

unsurprisingly others had the same idea, so expect wait times. not so much with the line itself, but that they're cooking up a billion.

Chic-fil-a is the best chicken sammich. If you havent eaten at one you havent had decent chikin.

It's pink slime. no thanks.

The BK chicken sandwich is fucking terrible, I dont see how anyone can order and eat that shit, I tried it once and spit it out and thru it in the trash. I wouldnt eat it again for free

I ordered a couple and the woman wanted to charge me $5.xx. I reminded her about the $1.04 sale mentioned outside and she corrected it to $2.25 (including tax). Pretty good for a buck and change. I saved the 2nd sandwich for later.

can't complain for the price. The best chicken sandwiches and fries are Ranch1 in my opinion. There aren't that many left around NYC though.

Still about $1 more than it's worth. People sit and wonder why they are fat slobs...it's from eating shit like this all day, every day.

For what it's worth the samich in question is a chicken breast, not made from chicken (or what ever parts):)

You're kidding right? Have you ever actually eaten one? It's crap formed into a flat shape. It is so far removed from real chicken breast it might as well be horse. Stop being gullible enough to look up crap on the internet and believe it against all reason.
Go get one, then go get a Wendys or a Chick-fil-a and compare how they look.

Yes, people just sit around and eat things like this four meals a day, every day

Holy shit people, its a $1 sandwich at a fast food place. No one is expecting miracles or a healthy meal from this, just something (arguably) tasty to eat. People don't need a sermon every time fast food is mentioned.

Judging by the 33% obesity rate in the USA, I would argue that Americans DO need a sermon--and some self control with a dose of self discipline to work out.

This seems to be the consensus amount most online people.

Personally I think the number of people that eat fast food vs. the number of people on the internet that generally bash it doesn't match up. I mean, any where you go its a good 90% of people that spew "FAST FOOD IS HORRIBLE!!!" while knowing that way more than 90% of people eat fast food.

Hell, if you want to take it for what it is aren't most Americans overweight?

Like ocellaris said...its a $1 chicken sandwich. Sure its processed and not health, buts its $1. Plus, who is to say whats healthy? Like Lewis Black once said, "What might be good for you could kill somebody else." The truth is that sure there's a general healthy guide line but its not going to hurt you to eat some fast every now and then.

Last thing is that I've worked fast food in my life and being curious with these things I've noticed that MOST of the ingredients are not as artificial as you think. Cheese is cheese, bread is bread, hamburger patties are beef (generally not as processed as you think. If it is its normally just to "shape" it to keep consistency), ketchup is tomatoes, etc. The reason why a lot of this stuff is unhealthy is because foods like hamburgers, fried french fries, fried chicken sandwiches, cheese, etc are ALREADY fatty and high in calories no matter if its fast food or home made.

In short, its a $1 sandwich. I eat fast food, you eat fast food, its cheap, its tasty...just eat one and shut up!

+1. Great (fast food) sandwich. I worked at KFC years ago when they introduced a real filet sandwich. My area supervisor called it a muscle sandwich, heh. Wasn't too bad, but people didn't want to pay extra over the "normal" processed one. There is a big difference between processed and a whole breast sandwich. I do like BK's one though. Good deal.

On a side note: Wife and I went to BK last night to get that pulled pork sandwich, which they still had on their video screen on their menu board. "Sorry, we don't sell that any more.". We walked out. I guess they haven't down-dated the upload for their menu board.

I think you would be surprised (shocked) to know what is really done to out food before we eat it. See a company proclaim they don't inject their livestock with hormones? They probably put it in the food the animals eat. No preservatives added to the food? Check. We just coat the inside of the container with the stuff. You do have a valid point though. Take the deal for what it is.

Every other day of the year it is a $4.49 chicken breast sandwich. It’s not one of those little round bits and pieces of whatever sandwiches.

Once a year BK does the $1.04 promo but it is still the same chicken breast.

Fried, yes. High in salt, yes. But in no way is it pressed and formed, it’s just a chicken breast.

What you got against breasts? :D

As soon as this thread landed, I wanted to post some food snobbery but I figured I'd get chased off by a horde of fat nerds who don't give a shit.

Glad to see the world is changing. It wasn't long ago that a cheap-fast-food thread would have been akin to porn on a board like this.

I don't eat this shit anymore, and I'm healthier for it. I encourage those of you who have reservations about bothering to stand in line for this deal to not only pass on it, but to pass on fast food henceforth. This is not what our species was intended to eat, it only bares a resemblance.

I used to work at Burger King, the Original Chicken Sandwich is processed chicken. The tender grill/crisp sandwiches are breasts.

Make sure to order it fresh with pickles added, makes it so much more palpable.

So the pickles make it more pleasant to touch? :p Think you were trying for palatable. ;) Normally don't do this, but couldn't resist, just because I found the idea of the sandwich being made palpable to be rather amusing!

However, this does remind me that my dad always preferred going to BK as they would make the Whopper to order. So far as he was concerned, ordering it with extra ketchup and such was the key to getting a freshly made sandwich vs. one that had been sitting around for a while. Usually seemed to work out.

Whoops, haha. I knew that didn't seem like the right word. :D

Want it fresh? Order it "off of the broiler".

In for 20 and gonna throw them in the freezer to save for later!

no need to throw it in the freezer, preservatives will keep it in it's current state for a year or so, at least that's how it is with mcdonalds.
