Show Your LCD(s) setups!!!

Woah, thats a collection of monitors I wouldn't mind having on my desk.

How's that T221 in daily use?

Thanks :)
It's actually really good for the work I do. I have to remote into a lot of servers and being able to have them all up to monitor stuff is great.

Damn those IBM monitors have such a high resolution, how can you use windows with something like that when the OS has such poor scaling.. and I thought the U2711 had a high PPI.

It's alright for having lots of things up at the same time but bad for web browsing/coding.

Check out eizo 34" monster,

Cost about 30 grand, dual DP or dual D-l DVI to drive it. GtG is 25 ms. Mostly use in med field, so they don't care about response time.

This model costs almost 40k but has 8ms instead of 25:

collect 'em all!

Haha too late, I gave my dad the ZR30W and LP3065, and my mom has the U3011. I would need to get those back and buy a Samsung 305T, Samsung XL30, Doublesight DS-307w, NEC LCD3090WQXI, Apple Cinema 30, Gateway XHD3000, LG W3000h, Dell 3007wfp, Dell 3008wfp, LaCie 730, Eizo CG301W (can't think of any other 30" panels off the top of my head :p)

They don't say if it's an IPS though -- the first model is, according to the spec sheet.

350W max power consumption on both models

DAMN. If it was $4K and not 40K, and a confirmed IPS, I would start saving up

That is drop dead gorgeous. I cannot wait for the day when we start seeing these in our TV's and monitors. Can't imagine the horsepower needed to run something like that effectively.

It's the triple mount from easymountlcd: http://shop.easymountlcd.com/Deluxe...-Desktop-Clamp-up-to-28-002-0019-002-0019.htm
It's very well built for it's price and looks similar the the SIIG mount. Haven't tried it in portrait.

You might have room if you remove what looks to be another computer/display on the left of the desk.

Yeah that is the fiancees computer...she wouldn't be too happy to come home and find it relocated...haha

I have the other 'half' of the desk in storage (extends off of the left edge straight for about 6' or 7') so after the wedding we'll have a bigger apartment and be able to designate a 'computer room'...hopefully...;)

Your mount looks much sturdier and robust (also has the ability to hold up to 28" which is pretty cool) That one, based off the webpage and your photo, will probably be my next one. What I currently like about the SIIG is the ability to fold in the arms and make it really compact (even if it isn't perfectly level all the time.)

Upgraded from 3x22 in landscape to 3x24 in portrait and OMG! I thought the bezels would suck but once you go portrait you can never go back, so immersive

Wow, very nice i usualy see people taking the landscape setup but rarely see it in portrait setup.

I will make a nice picture of my setup in 2 weeks >_> just returned my Samsung S23A700D because of horrible bottom backlight bleed and its out of stock.

Also to the rest of the people it`s giving me great ideas for when i move to my new flat.

Seeing as some of you are interested in portrait setups I will post the update on mine.

Looking at reviews/pictures of that Triple Monitor Stand from you and others, I bought one from Tyke Supply (should be the same other than free standing...it's the curved arm free standing one though). Easymountlcd was sold out of their free standing triple monitor stand.

I only have a 22" and 20" monitor now...just bought a 24" monitor so I can finally have 1920x1080 on my main display.

Just wondering...the stand is heavy enough that having a 24" flanked by a 22" on left and 20" on right wouldn't make it too wobbly, right? Looking forward to getting all my stuff next week and setting it up...thanks!

That looks absolutely epic Nahawand!

How are you liking gaming in triple portrait in general?
I'm assuming these are 3 Dell 1920x1200's ?

Very nice Nahawand, I am curious though in the battlefield picture i see some ghosting is that common on triple setups, does anyone know?.

Thank you. Yes the monitors are U2410 running 3600x1920 you really need to sit in front of this thing to appreciate it it's breathtaking.

No there is no ghosting that I can see while gaming and I do play a lot of BF3 and Call of Duty, maybe it's just the shitty iPhone cam combined with Vsync

Easy Mount is the way to go.... I have a 3 mount and a 6 mount (made into a 4) from them.... Great quality product for the price...

2 NEC 2490wuxi's hooked up to a late 2005 PowerMac G5 and an IBM Model M keyboard that had never seen the light of day until I took it out of its box a few months ago! I put both in portrait mode just to see how I'd like it since my desk is way too small to have them both in landscape, and I really like it! Here's another pic: http://imgur.com/Ak5KT

I was just about to ask where you got that awesome desk from then read you custom made it. Any more pics? Looks great.

Thanks. Yes, it's custom made with Ikea elements.

I needed lots of storage but also a large desk (the part with the screens is 240cm). So I searched for a solution for storage units and also a large desk. With this system I can also adjust the depth to the screens (the desk with the keyboard and mouse is on wheels) close if I work in Illustrator and Internet, distant for gaming.

Here the element used:

I drilled into the top of the cabinets red for screwing the wooden plate. Then I covered the wooden plate with 3M vinyl carbon fiber and I screwed on the edges of the aluminum profile of 2mm for a sportive look. It's not very complicated but it works well.

One drawer is used to hold all the equipment (electrical outlet, hard drive usb, usb hub, etc.).

Just got a used Jerker off of Craigslist... it's almost as if this desk was designed by a god. I haven't gotten everything completely set up yet but it fits everything perfectly.

(Sorry for the shitty cell phone pic, too lazy to dig out my real camera.)

Epos: Nice setup man clean and looks particle. What speakers are they?

Thanks I did my best to keep it clean and simple.
Speakers are the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 system. For the price I could not recommend them more they blew me out of the water when I first tried them out.

I'll try my best to answer any questions about this setup.

Shame on you for the cord management ;-) Aside from that, very cool setup! Any chance on getting some different camera angle shots to see the mounts for the tablet, etc at different angles?

Not the best of pics but though I might as well post it here. :p

Still have a lot of work to do, get longer cables for the monitors to be able to have cable management the way I like it, get wallmounts for the monitors to take the weight of the table, get some ambient lighting, and move the comp to the floor(need a new case and come up with a way of venting from under the table) :)

And thanks for the pointing out the poor cord management, Here's my solution.
