How many platters?

Hi,

I had to RMA my WD20EARX-00ZUDB0 « uses 4 x 500 GB platters » about 12 days ago.

Yesterday I received a replacement hard drive: WD20EARX-008FB0.

Does anyone happen to know how many platters that one has?

I missed to weight the old drive before sending it off, but the weight of the new drive is 629 gr.

this page has many platter layouts (not yours though) but I believe your replacement drive has 3 platters.
