Vizio has announced that its new line of PCs will get an unexpected surprise when the Window 7 units are updated to Windows 8: the new OS will unlock a pseudo touch interface. Without going into specifics and giving no further details, it’s an obvious reference to the touch screen capabilities of Windows 8.

Vizio CTO Matt McRae states that current Vizio Windows 7 PCs will get an interesting upgrade when Windows 8 is launched.

What's a pseudo touch interface? Either it's touch, or it isn't. Maybe this is just a a stupid way of saying it just detects one touch at a time?
 
I can think of a few interesting gestures to make that involve a mouse. No keyboards though. Those are too big to fit into what I had in mind.

I'm excited for the new vizio laptops.

I would guess the trackpad is going to accept the same gestures you can do on a touchscreen...
