So I know of Falcon and I know of Alienware (not really sure they qualify as "boutique" anymore, though). Who are the other, popular, boutique PC manufacturers out there these days?
I ask because my gaming rig is finally starting to show its age with some of the newer games out there. My upgrade cycle usually starts when I can no longer tolerate the frame skip, short of reducing the visual quality settings. As I've had a lot of PC "brown thumb" luck when it comes to building my own rigs lately, I've thought about giving a boutique PC a run for its money. Yes, I know it's an added expense! Really what's appealing to me is to have it work with (virtually) no hardware conflicts and have a great warranty for when the random component dies after the first year.
Falcon's machines seem to easily push the $3K envelope and Alienware really seems to lack the GFX power I'm looking for.
Am I being too picky here?
