GTX 670 In Stock Thread

Shipping times are odd on my Amazon order of the 670 Top, but that may just be because today is a holiday. We'll see what happens when it actually ships.

Got tired of SylarPowers and NBC's Heroes was stupid after the first season anyway. Haha can't even start a thread yet! You need 50 posts.

Wish I had the money for two, but my monitor is only 1080p anyway. Perhaps later.

I just selected no rush shipping, still waiting for the Maximus V Formula... I get mine for a June 4th delivery.
 
Finally amazon had em in stock for msrp.. Just dropped my order for 2, $812 after it was all said and done with the gift cards I had.

Edit: meant to mention they 'only' had 11 left in stock before my order.
 
just got mine also! Thanks OP!! Looks like we just got in under the wire. Amazon now lists them as "in stock May 31st"!

I so lucky :) bought around 3PM EST and I got one. No mobo, but hey, I got a the GPU I wanted. Should be here within days.
 
I ordered a EVGA FTW on saturday from the egg. Say it should be delivered June 1 :D:D:D

Btw, I had a Radeon HD 6850 previously. Will I have any issues installing the driver from NVIDIA? I thought I had read somewhere that I need to do a complete wipe/ windows 7 reinstall. Is this true?

How they can get away with charging so much while remaining the worst major shipping company of them all is beyond me.
 
Asus top instock still at newegg, they must have gotten a lot of them since sd thread has been filled with buyers.

Mine will be here 6/1/12 from amazon for $430 delivered (didn't even have to pay shipping like these newegg guys).

Amazon prime, while great, is not free. P.s. I have shoprunner I got for ten dollars, and prime, so no extra shipping anyway. I am sure many are on free shoprunner from the deals anyway.

lol, I was about to say the same thing myself.

unless...he's an amazon student, which is first 6 months free....other than that, you still have to pay $79 per year...if you buy from amazon alot, this will pay off itself in no time...but if you only order 10 items or less per year, it might actually be better to pocket that $79 and wait a week for your goods to get to you...thats assuming you use free super saver shipping
 
I've been using Amazon student for a few years before switching to Amazon Prime recently, only paid $40 though as they run promotions from time to time. I literally shop everything on Amazon so in the end it's a pay off.
Anyway I'm still patiently waiting for the Gigabyte to show up so I can grab a 2nd one :(
 
my FTW model came in yesterday and I just got in installed and running some benchmarks. it hits 1189 out of the box which is not too bad and I am not going to full with overclocking just yet. I have only ran 3 benchmarks but so for its exactly 50% faster than my gtx570 which is about what I was hoping for. I will will have big thread up later today showing a direct comparison to the gtx570.

While I do have prime, can't the nonprime people just wait five days for free shipping?

I order a shit ton, Not sure how they make money, the movie streaming is great too. Free kindle books rentals now.
 
I agree, I get my money's worth and then some from Amazon Prime, I don't know how they can afford to make money on Prime. I realize it keeps people buying from Amazon this way which generates profits, but the Prime program itself has to be a money loser for Amazon. I love it though. I probably purchase 50+ items per year from Amazon easily. And with Prime, you can't beat the $2.99 upgrade to overnight shipping which is usually very expensive from any other online retailer.

Amazon gets massive UPS discounts in the range of most likely 50% off or more for 2nd Day Air and then if you live in a state that is close enough to the warehouse your order is shipping from I've noticed some of my Prime orders have shipped UPS Ground and still delivered in 2 days since all of UPS services have guaranteed delivery dates. The overnight upgrade is $3.99 though instead of $2.99 and if you place an order for multiple items the $3.99 is per item.

You were acting like your quick shipping was free and that others got ripped off. In actuality many have the same 2day shipping from both vendors. That is what I was telling you about.

I just meant that newegg was extra for shipping on the Asus GTX Top 670, while amazon was not, both stocks were in within a day of each other, therefore it was a better deal to have found, plus amazon has a no questions asked return for 30 days. Assuming you dont get charged tax in your state, It was more of a better end price than newegg thing then a better than nonprime users thing. I wasn't even considering that I'm getting it quick because I'm not building this week, only listed my date as the one guy had a funny delivery quote, To help him. It was only like $8 diff even then. But it made me happy to save it.

Amazon is certainly the way to go if given the option and same price. Their return policy is just better than Newegg.
 
Another money saver, instead of shipping back on a purchase I've decided to return while its en route - as I've read bad things on it since placing the order - I've mastered the art of refusing packages. I just hang a sign "packages refused today" at my door and go to work, instant way to ship back for free and change my mind. I track the package, and as soon as it is marked refused and returned to sender, I take the sign down. Otherwise they just leave it at my door and drive away, no matter if i am home or not. Did that for a Cosmos II case I changed my mind on recently. In about a week I get my money back like clockwork with no restock fee. Works with newegg and amazon.
