GTX 680 In Stock Thread

It helps to hire warehouse workers that can read/speak freakin' English!

Well unless not knowing the difference between the numbers 670 and 680 can be attributed to not knowing English, I'm not sure how that's relevant. OK, fine, the warehouse employees might be idiots. Or the system issuing orders to the warehouse could have made a mistake.

Aliens from MiB III might have snuck in there and moved them around in boxes, but it's more likely the former.

Maybe we should ask if they suddenly have a shortness of coffee in the warehouse break room LMAO :D

LOL. Anyway, good luck getting that fixed. Seems like NewEgg might have to allocate their next batch of 680 shipments to fixing this :D.

Wow, that sucks...

Heard of a guy on ocn receiving a 680 instead of the 670 he had ordered, he whined at newegg after opening and using it, because it didn't oc well, then demanded his originally ordered card.

Uh, lolwut? He gets a 680 that is going to perform nearly the same as a 670 OC and complains? No comment on if he should even be allowed to keep a mis-shipped 680 but that post is just...wow.

Newegg wont do anything about this issue. I spoke via live chat to a manager and they simply want me to send the card back and they'll process my exchange. So more tan likely I'm looking at another week without a card. Now I gotta send in the card they shipped me by accident and wait for a GTX 680 to go back in stock and if I am lucky enough to get one during the next rat race then maybe, just maybe will I finally get a working card from them. :( after dealing with them since May 7th.

Yeah we'll see about that. I'll be calling on Tuesday to complain about getting shipped the wrong items and will expect some sort of gift card or compensation towards my order outside of just getting to wait a week for a refund when they ship me two GTX 670's instead of 680's.

Sorry that I didn't mention that they gave me a gift card for this issue. They said I'll get it via email in 3 business days. However I still have to send my card back and wait until a card goes in stock to get one sent OR wait 3-5 business days for a refund to credit my account so that I can have the opportunity to go through the rat race and hopefully get lucky enough to order one before they sell out and finally open the box and hopefully get a GTX 680 this time

BTW I made a thread about this so that noone gets fucked over here and everyone realizes this isn't a isolated issue.

Sorry if I derailed this thread. Everyone please continue this discussion in my thread if you want to discuss it.

Back on topic here. Anyone see a card in stock? :)

Ah, well, according to the 670 buyers, nobody is buying 680s any more, or any of us who do are "rich." /shrug

This really drives me crazy. Ill put my 680 up against any 670 out there. Its gonna be more powerful in any situation. That to me makes it worth the extra price. Now if I try to sell one on here people are just going to say buy a 670 and I'll be pissed ha. I guess people are still obviously buying 680s though cause they are always out of stock

The extra bit is always nice, but to be honest an oc 670 provides essentially the same gameplay and speed as an oc 680 at this point. However, there is still a hair of difference and some want that, so more power to them if they can afford it.

Hammerforged, my gigabyte oc 670 is superior to my old ref 680 cards in every way including oc to oc speeds. It overclocks high enough to be faster speedwise, and is cooler, quieter, has a custom cooler, etc. Non oc to non oc it comes guaranteed at stock to match a 680 ref thanks to the factory bump. Your mileage may vary....

I can agree with that reasoning goldentiger. There's no doubt that a non ref 670 with a 680 pcb like what you have is the best deal! I have an asus top 680 that will do 1300 on the core is why I'm happy and i just hope that people don't think a 400 card is better than it.

Very nice! And no, I am under no illusion that great-oc to great oc mine is quicker, of course. :D

I almost bought the giga like you've got honestly. Just was unsure about it and didn't jump on it quick enough. My biggest complaint about mine is that there is no vram cooling whatsoever. My memory oc is only like 6700. The rest of the card is beast and then to leave out a simple vram heatsink is a little shitty. Maybe one of those new ek waterblocks for it coming out will entice me if I mod the voltage ha. No reason for it to have a waterblock unless you mod the voltage cause the stock cooling is so good. Scary modding a 540 card though ha. One member is currently in the process of doing so. Excited to see the results. I better shutup before this gets even more off topic ha.

Its out already, in very very small quantities. I was able to pick up a galaxy 680 4gb a week and a half ago. I also got a 690 a few days later so i'll probably save the 4gb 680 for another build, but its a great card.

Wow, I came and checked in since I posted hours ago and the PNY GTX 680 is still at compsource and the EVGA Superclocked and Superclocked with backplate I linked is still in stock. Could the ridiculous demand for GTX 680 be dying down, or did TSMC giving nvidia priority actually net them more product on the shelves.

I was thinking it could be because of GTX 670 demand is ridiculously high but all stores seem to show stock on that gpu also from several manufacturers

Got a pair of EVGA Sigs from Amazon. Really was just waiting for vanilla EVGA or Galaxy, but with no tax/free shipping, what the heck.

Thanks for the alert burningrave.

I'm a little confused. When I click on the Amazon links you guys provide it takes me to scalper priced cards like $679.00. Am I doing something wrong or are you guys just buying them for those prices?

Thanks.

That means Amazon sold out at normal price so they offer that as an alternative. The links showed the cards sold by Amazon at normal price when posted. They sold out quick.

Yeah that's what happens with Amazon. I got the EVGA Sigs at retail price. They are now (just a few hours later) $100 more expensive because they are forwarding to a third party seller. Best to just subscribe to this thread and wait until they are back in stock at Amazon.

I have to admit that in my rush I forgot to go through the HardOCP ref link. Maybe we should post links with the ref already built in to help support the site.

I do NMR too as my job :) and I have an EVGA Sig too!

Hah, no kidding chronicfx... I guess it's the official graphics card of the mag res community!

Ships in 7 to 21 days, credit card charged immediately, funds held hostage on your credit card for 7 to 21 days before it ever ships.

I really don't like TD at all , its all about newegg and amazon.com for me.....I don't trust TD

Oh that's true. And when amazon has them that means prime customers like me can get free 2 day shipping. I hated waiting for my 680s haha

Thats not amazon, those are resellers. That obviously means that amazon.com is out of stock...amazons prices are always good.

I don't know about that, I saw Amazon restock the EVGA GTX 680 Superclocked SC+ for $569.99 yesterday up from the usual $539.99 lol.
