I still have my 1100T from like two years ago. I bought it at frys for 199 and got a good deal for it. I'm planning on upgrading to intel 3770k and found that 1100t's still sell for around 200. How is it that the 1100T has such a high resale value. I found nothing special about this processor in my years using it.

1100T is equal or beats out FX models in most things. And is a true 6core. Still a good cpu

My Athlon X2 6000+is selling for $180 on Amazon, that's what I call a collector's item:p

Just picked up a 1045T for $99 after rebate at CompUSA for my CAD system. Clocked it up to 3.1 ghz and it is working great.

Not a lot of 1100t's on the market. Think I can sell a mildly used one for 200+? I'm looking to upgrade to a 3770k

I'd never pay anywhere near what a 2600K costs used for a 1100t, and I imagine neither would anyone else with sense.

Unless you already have an AMD motherboard and just wanting a CPU upgrade.

Yeah we all know Intel rulez but there are still reasons to buy AMD processors. Besides, you can overclock those X6's to 4+ GHz with a decent motherboard and if you crank up the CPU/NB to 2.6 or better, they really come alive and are very powerful procs.

My thuban cant even do 2.5 NB
Main CPU speed can hit 4 ghz with no voltage increases though.
WIsh I had a better mobo to see what this thing can really do. Im stuck at 280 fsb

I don't know. I can't do better than 3.6Ghz on mine (locked multi), but the price at a MC was killer. A 1045T is $110 with a free motherboard. Intel can't really touch that price/performance point.

True enough. I guess its the 1090 and 1100 and even the 960T that can hit the 4 gig mark the easiest. That is true that those with the locked multi's have a harder time and are limited by their motherboard's ability. I am surprised you cant hit 2.5 NB on yours. I can do 2.6 on stock NB voltage on mine. Thats a shame because the CPU/NB overclocking is what really brings the Phenom's to life. I think OCN or somebody did a review where they compared a 3.6 CPU clock and 2.8 NB to a 4.0 CPU and 2.0 NB and the one with the big NB overclock beat the big CPU clock in every benchmark. Made a huge difference in my rig especially in minimum fps.

And yeah, picked mine up for $150 about a year and a half ago so it is hard to beat performance per dollar.

I for one have 4 Am3 systems running. 3 with x4 procs and 1 with a x6. I wouldn't mind upgrading 2 of the x4's to x6's ( they all are crunchers) I wouldn't want to pay $200 for a 1100 when I can get a 1045 at the egg for $140. I know it's slower but hell I can live with it for the $60 still in my pocket.
