Just wondering if anybody knows of any deals on D3. Dell had it for 49.99 but is now sold out.

I saw a "used" $41.99 on Amazon once. Not really used but the packaging was scuffed up or something, not sure. I thought about grabbing it but I'll just wait for a real sale.

I'm just gonna play Torchlight II until Diablo III drops to $35 or so. I got a starter key, and really wanna keep going, but I have a strong feeling I'll regret paying full price for it.

See you online in 2-4 years.

Why does anyone think the most popular game ever would go on sale two weeks after it was released? They have no incentive whatsoever to cut the price while it's in such hot demand. You'll have to wait at LEAST six months, if not a year, before they reduce prices. I was shocked that Steam did a $20 off sale weekend on Skyrim only six months after it was released.

think about this. If you might regret it because the game doesn't live up to your expectations, you might regret it at any price.

I bought Medal of Honor for $5. I knew it had tons of crap reviews but I went ahead and bought it cause it was only $5. It wasn't worth $5.

Just buy it heh.

In the time it takes you waiting, you could just have the game and already farming gear to sell for money.

Just fyi, 100k gold currently sells for $5 on ebay. Farm some gold and sell it to make some money back if its an issue. :)

"I was shocked" he says. LMFAO. Dude, Dell had this game for 49.99 a few days ago. Please shhhhhh, no talking.

I'd say just hold out. From what I've been reading a lot of people seem pretty disappointed by the game and got bored with it real quick. And if they keep up the trend of taking 10 years to make a game then I can't imagine any major DLC will be out any time soon. Other than hype I don't really see any rush to get D3.

lol @ $10-15 bucks being the reason for not buying the game. get a job?
Or maybe he has a job but doesn't want to waste money on a game that isn't worth putting his limited free time towards. Spending $70 on a game that is getting fairly negative review from fans of its predecessor isn't really a smart decision in this world of modern game development.

You will not. I paid full price, happily grinding away.

I love Diablo 3, up to the point where the hackers are owning the AH and making it hard to level. The AH is a JOKE right now, and since the developers thought it was a great idea for the game to be purely AH driven, people either have to go backwards and level slower, or not level at all, which has made HELL impossible for my Monk. Gear is far too expensive and nothing drops for your level or up to 10 levels up like it did in Diablo 2. I'm very frustrated with Blizzard and these bot using hackers right now. So damn disappointed. :/

I bought BF3 for $30 like a month after it came out... Straight from Origin. So yes, popular games go on sale right after release all the time, at least for PC. That being said, Blizzard games are rarely on sale.

Honestly, its worth $60 (imo). After playing the beta I hesitated at first but wound up spending the 60. I am in Act 3 right now and I think it is definitely not a disappointment. Exactly what I was hoping for- D2 with better graphics. The only think is that you must have an internet connection to play. But honestly, I have not been in a scenario in the last 3-4 years where I have had a computer but no access to internet.

I saw it for I think it was 51.99 or 52.99 on Amazon a couple of days ago. I'll be waiting myself for a lower price and for them to get any bugs worked out. A friend of mine who got it said he wasted hours or time trying to connect to their servers and get the game installed.

I played the beta and I do wanna get it but I think $50 is a more reasonable price.

Also my video card just died and I'm on a x1950xt for now so until I pick out a new video card..... I don't even wanna see how the game plays on this card if it plays at all.

I found a bunch of deals for weapons for my dh and barbarian at the ah.
I needed some gems so I just bought a bunch of items that were cheap with gems in them, remove the gems and put them up for auction.

I actually picked up a nice rare weapon with a gem in it for 750 gold.

Cause its over charging. Do you buy blurays for 40$? i doubt it. Yes thats what they retail for.

Sorry i dont think some sob CEO deserves my 10$ extra ( For no reason ).. esp Activisions.

I would be wary of buying used copies. Like an MMO once that keys used thats it. Cant count how many times i have seen a "deal" on ebay for an MMO game just to find out the serial has been used.

Also to those talking about how "so many" people are unhappy with the game... Get a clue... Even on this forum its pretty much the same few people going on and on about how bad it is and most of those dont even own the fucking thing.

Whenever people are unhappy with a game they complain when people are happy they just play... Welcome to the internet. A game that has sold 6 million copies already is going to have some complainers but most people are perfectly happy with it and having a good time.

If anyone is willing to buy me the game , i will farm them 1.2 million gold ;)

Real offer

Dell has Diablo 3 for $54.99, not much of a deal, but it is a slight discount.

I've been reading fairly negative things from people who were amped about the game when it came out, put 70+ hours into in the first week and then suddenly hate the game. Other people have stated they got the guest pass and suddenly lost all interest in the game before the pass was up. I think it's kind of like the change from Oblivion to Skyrim. Skyrim seemed a lot bigger and better, but in reality the gameplay and mechanics were just very shallow and became boring very quick, but the hype keeps people coming in.

Bad things:

Lag. Crappy server stability.
Gear comes from AH. AH is broken most of the day or lagging hard making purchasing gear a chore.
Higher levels you get one shot without a warning it is coming. Regular mobs in large packs do this.
Some moves you get become absolutely useless in higher level modes. So you need to actually read spoilers about the higher level runs to known what not to get used to using.
Bosses that 1 shot you with charge moves is becoming long in the tooth.

Good:

Fun game! Great mechanics and thought went into it.
Really fun boss mechanics that keep you on your toes.
Ability to play with others if you get bored playing solo.
Did I mention it's addicting? And fun!
Stable game play when the server likes you.
Surviving 30 mobs that are 2 hitta quitta style npcs with less than 100 health out of 11,000 multiple times per second is an adrenaline rush like no other!
Heck dying to that mob is fun!

Now the $64,000 question is, "Is it worth $60?" A resounding yes! Can you handle the lag though? Will it frustrate you to quitting? Every person knows their limitations so that's up to you. Hardcore mode should not be in the game as the servers aren't stable enough for it. I wish the game had an offline mode personally but we know that won't happen. Neither will the Real Money Auction House as there are too many hackers and I'm curious as to how Blizzard will handle refunds for sellers when their inventory gets hacked.

If someone put 70hours into a game then complained that they didn't get there money worth out of it I would slap them. I play games because it's a fun time sink. The more hours of enjoyment I get per dollar the better. Hell portal 2 was 50 bucks when I bought it and it was just a few hours long.

Well, this thread should have never existed in the first place, as there is no new deal. So it seems trite to complain about anything else within the thread.

I'll buy it when I have time to play it...which will be when it probably reaches the $40 mark. No sense in buying it $60, have it sit on my shelf for a year or two, then play it when its deal price is around $40.

Thank STEAM DEALS for my lack of time...

No, the thread is fine, but it belongs in Hot Deals Discussion, really.

For those of you looking to pick it up for cheap and willing to wait, I wholeheartedly recommend it. The game itself is incredibly fun, but if you're remotely serious about making it in the 'end-game' Inferno difficulty, wait it out as Blizzard still has work to do. Let the economy work itself out and the RMAH settle in. Blizzard is also looking into some balancing issues regarding a few classes and the game will most likely be better off once those are implemented. You will have a much more 'solid' playing experience once the game continues to evolve belong its release state.

I'm amazed how but hurt people are by this game in both directions. 12 years between major releases does that i suppose...

Personally; i bought it day one and love it. I put 60 hours in; and will probably put another hundred more in before i completely move on (I put 5x that into diablo2.. but i had more free time then)

Compared to people paying 60 for the latest COD single player (10 hours?) it's a bargain.
