Are You A Cyberpunk?

Forecasting technology is part of future science fiction and it is typically based on what is currently available. Every bit as laughable as watching sparkler stream from the back of a 1950's spaceship or a short shorts NBA game before '91

for the "money" they say "non-digital paper variety" which means they predicted bitcoin & digital currencies would be a reality back in '93!

The moment credit cards became popular, the eulogy for paper was being penned by futurists.

As others have indicated, a lot of that stuff is in a typical smartphone. Yesterdays geeks are todays mainstream.

The nerds have succeeded on world domination.

Sony Multimedia CD Player! MMCD PIX-100. I have one of those... never found any software for it. Used it as a CD player in college since it had (crummy) built-in speakers.

Reminds me of ShadowRun

Not in the slightest to me, and I've played the video game and card game extensively.

Looks more like a roadie, or biker wanna-be, with a few tech items thrown in by accident.

Not Cyberpunk for sure.

Yep, it's from the magazine "Mondo 2000" which was around during the early 90's. It was a real magazine, despite it's creator being named R.U. Serious.

It was a good zine, and R.U. Serious was proud that the very name of it had an expiration date.

I like mini-disk lol. I remember when I deployed to Japan in 98 and was like WTF is that I got to have it NOW! Came home with stacks of blanks transfered all of my CD's to mini-disks and couldnt have been happier until MP3 bacame the main. I actually think my mini-disk was an MP3 also. Will have to dig it out. Anyone else reminded of Johny Neumonic?
