Man.....I am more than aggrevated at TD.

They took my order for an EVGA 680 and then strung me along for a week with comments on when they were expecting stock.......finally to admit they had no clue when things would be shipped out, blaming it the whole time on "distributors".

I've ordered there before and been very satisfied, but this last deal has me changing my mind. They really jerked me around, instaed of being honest.

I'd rather they be like newegg and just say they're out of stock.:D I realize this whole 680/670 stock deal is tough on everybody.....but just confess when you don't have a clue....seems to be the best policy.

Ya I hear ya. Did they charge your card? I would be upset if they had charged me but they haven't.

Customer service that doesn't even ship you a new replacement for an out of the box defective card and a company that ships cards with broken PCI E connectors/chips (whatever the term is)?

Their life time warranty was the only thing above the competition they had going for them. Otherwise their cards tend to be more expensive (for duel fan coolers at least) and later than other brands.

Lol, why would you want a lifetime warranty on a gpu?
They do cross shipping now, apparently. That's pretty good.

My mate's old 8800gt Alpha dog is gonna last out the lifetime anyway :p

I still have an EVGA GTX 260 in my kids' machine. Still going strong. Would be nice if it had lifetime warranty in case anything happens.

5, maybe 7 years, max (Like corsair psus) but lifetime....
For a gpu that still seems very excessive and financially unfeasible tbh.
At least for the price you probably paid for it.

I'm sure it will be a trooper none the less and live many years to come :)

Edit: Come to think of it me and my mates usually just help each other out in times of [h]ardware troubles.
Old, perfectly good gpus get passed along. I guess that sort of local community isn't everywhere though, which is understandable.

All the cards at MSRP at ncix.ca went up 10-20$. Some references are still in stock.

What happened to all the GTX 670's at Newegg last night? I can't believe every one of them is now sold out.

I got the auto-notify email from Newegg last night, but they were sold out before I could get to it. I'll be refreshing the page obsessively at work all day.

Its purely marketing, they know damn good and well 90% of people aren't still going to be using these cards in 5-7+ years so a Lifetime Warranty doesn't mean much to the manufacturer in terms of cost, but it always seems to hook people into buying them for that false sense of security that they can still replace the card when they hand it off to their grandchildren.

Likely people holding out for non-reference models that still aren't showing up in volume yet so people get impatient and just buy whatever they can to satisfy the urge. Then you also have the many 680 owners trying to dump their cards to save some money and buy a 670 which effectively offers most of the same performance. The 680 is going down in value every day as long as the 670 is on the market so people are dropping them quickly and switching to 670's.

Placed an order for Gigabyte one with Amazon on 5/11 and received it on 5/17. No tax, no shipping.:)
With a bit of oc, it boostclocks to 1260mhz.

Were you or are you overclocking your 560ti that is artifacting?

No video card is really worth that price, its just that you want it so just admit it. You are addicted to computer hardware. Admitting it is the first step. :)

I wanted to get a 680 upgrading from a 5870 but im not really finding any games i can't play with a 5870 at 1920x1080. So I probably will get some buyers remorse at paying that much and not really getting a better "feel" in games. Yes bench marks will give the wow but I'm playing D3 smooth as butter now doubt it will improve the experience any.

But some games like Metro or BF3 should do better.

Gigabyte is getting my money if Asus doesn't have something available very soon at a legit site.

I didn't overclock it, but I think it's OCed a little from the factory. Just cleaned the filters on the intakes at the bottom of my case to make sure it's getting good airflow. There was a bit of dust blocking clear flow. I'll see if that helps as my card may have just been getting too hot. If it does fix the issue, I'll download the Galaxy OC program and see if I can Squeeze some extra performance out of it while I wait for availability issues to resolve themselves.

Also, Seen this yet?:

Possible recall on keplers due to performance degradation. I hope not!

newegg has these, right now.......http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127675

I have two......got them Thursday......one is broken and going back.:(

Shows as 100+ in stock currently (I can add 999 to cart and it lets me, then adjusting in cart saying the max order quantity is 100). They also have a PNY model but not sure why you'd want it for $30 more and no OC compared to the MSRP MSI OC.

Still orderable, but it now says "in stock on may 24th". :)

I tend to give them benefit of the doubt. I worked for a company where sold items and it sucked when were out of stock. You dont know if thats the REAL answer they get and they're just passing it on to the customer when they ask.

We would have pissed off customer because what they ordered wasn't in stock yet. It sucks when you're at the mercy of someone else. I'm glad I don't work around that anymore.

Just ordered my ASUS GTX 670 Direct CU TOP edition. Lets hope they come through. They said they were in stock! God I'm so ansy!!!!

Wow, newegg still has 100+ of the OC 670 MSI's in stock and two other models (eVGA vanilla & pny vanilla) around. Nice!
